She recovered so quickly & was back to being puppy active. Getting that house with its lovely garden has proven to be so good for both of you. There really is no place like home. Waiting is the hardest part when a loved one is in surgery. I understand not being able to do anything except just sit as if you are glued to the chair. All of your energy and thoughts are in the operating room with your loved one. It is such a relief when you hear they are out and awake. It's like your breath enters your lungs as though you haven't breathed the whole time. The look on Sherpa's when he looked up at you once he was in the seat in the van just stole my heart. So much love and trust in his eyes and I saw a light come into his eyes and I knew he was back and would be ok. It's tough on Dad's. The way you got on the floor to help him drink snd eat was so touching. You two made me cry. But, they were happy tears. 🥲 You guys get some rest. Love you guys! 🥰🐾 --Paula in Ohio USA

It's weird how our brains/body reacts when we are thinking of our pets in an operation and we simply cannot concentrate. Some are workaholics. At least the operation was a success and Sherpa coped well. Oh the feeling of grogginess after for him. At least he could go back to sleep again on the journey home😊❤yes, you travelled on a Friday so hit traffic coming down. I remember when my dog had a leg amputated. I was up all night with him I think I got about 45 minutes of sleep if that. He kept waking up and crying he was coming down hard off his pain meds. Love doesn't stop when it gets hard it just gets stronger.

First off THANK YOU to Jamie, the vets, the Sherpa family for everyone coming together to get Sherpa through this and most importantly Sherpa for being strong and getting through. Sending healing for Sherpa because the adjustment period will be a bit but not as hard as the surgery. Jamie, I was making it through the video, but when you showed your watch without commenting it broke me. I could feel your stress all along, but when you didn't even have words...ugh. Thankfully they called shortly afterwards and brought your voice and life back!!! You lit up and we exhaled as you said he's done and doing well!!! Watching you anticipating Sherpa's every need is a master class in animal or human parenting! I'm glad you are relieved and can just be with Sherpa while he heals. His face was tense with worry ......later. ...call from vet saying our lordship ...our fitness...our tit. was awake ...... The relief on Jamie's face was so obvious n noticeable...... It made me smile. Bless him. .....in the next few weeks. .he deserves to go for a dive now ..... .... some Jamie time ......
