I kinda just softly go rooooo... Actually super funny that you mention this as, I swear to God literally this morning my neighbors dog was crying and barking hysterically. When I looked over the fence the dog had gotten her head wedged in between their gate because a guy sitting on the street corner was barking at the dog to annoy her and get her riled up. When she stuck her head through she was stuck and couldn't get it back. I had to jump over and slide her head downward as luckily there was space between the ground and the bottom of the gate. Her neck had swollen noticeably and from the way she was yanking herself she would have broken her neck(it was totally wedged, no way she was gonna pull it out) or suffocated. So don't annoy peoples dogs. Just talk dog to them softly lol.

Miss that beautiful chatty voice. He doesn't howl he talks and very clearly! He is was so friendly😉. Didn't realise he was a Malamut before. A couple of years ago we were strolling along the canal bank in Stoke and I recognised the voice of the dog coming towards me, I still had to ask though, it was a beautiful Malamut called Sadie we had a good chat and then set off in our different directions.
