It also works if you do single stiches and in the five last chains slip stiches or even you can also do double stiches and in the last five chains single stiches. These ways the crochê increases faster.😉More, you can add a pompom in the top and it becomes more TOP👌

I love the colors. I've made this pattern with hdc, but I really like the squishy stretchiness of the slip stitches. I'm definitely going to make this for my 9-year-old who loves hats. Also, I love your nails.

Is there a written pattern? Tips for others: With this gauge yarn, it looks like she chained 45 chain stitches to begin. (If you don’t want to measure or don’t have measuring tape.) For anyone just needing the decrease, it’s at 6:45. Looks like she made appx 44 total rows to complete the hat. Video to complete the top starts at: 15:41. You’re welcome. 😉

I have this pattern using a tiny hook. Uses foundation chain of about 60. My son loves the look of the tiny hook, but my hands hurt using such small tight stitches. I am so excited to find your wonderful pattern! My son works in Alaska and he loves this pattern because it is so warm. Now I can make them again without pain in my hands. Thank you so much! I have been trying to redo the pattern. I will do anything for my wonderful son. He says he can not find a hat that is as warm and fits.
