I love watching your videos because you are so real! I wish you were closer so I could hire you to help me. I am 65 yrs old and not able to get on the floor or stand for more than a few minutes anymore so cleaning and organizing has become a thing of the past. Despite that, you inspire me and so I have tried in my own way to start small and do my best. I still feel like I will never get my home the way I really want it; the way I used to. You are just like me and so many others. You refer to your plastic containers as “Tupperware”. It is a compliment to a name brand when it is used to refer to your entire array of a particular product. In the south we do not say soda or pop when referring to a carbonated beverage. Many southerners say “Coke”, to refer to this drink. A compliment to Coca Cola just like Tupperware. Food for thought…….❤️

Hubs and I have a new cleaning routine that you inspired .. No dirty dishes left in the sink over night (maybe a dish that needs to soak), put away clean dishes 1st thing in the morning... We do cabinets twice a month and fridge twice a month... All the floors swept daily, mopped twice a week...bathroom is basically daily because my germaphobia has gotten a bit out of control if I don't.. All this to say, when we have people arrive, or events happening, I no longer have panic attacks about it... I can just enjoy my company and be worried about what they see or are thinking. You are part of my inspiration. Thank you for all you do.

yes, I hope too but my freezers certainly need to be sorted. so I can get more in them for Christmas I have an order coming and need to make sure they are sorted I have too but could do with having another one, I did have a chest but that packed up so I use it to store all my baking tins. I have so much to do but am full of cold, and my granddaughter tested positive for covid lucky it's only a mild form. so my anxiety is bad.xxx

I try to take a black sharpie and write the expiration date on the things before I put them in, in an easy spot to see. This keeps using older things easier to see. Without having to try to find those little bitty dates on things

Kimmie, if you partially open your oven door, you can lift it out to remove it from the stove. Lay it down on a table or large counter and if you look under the bottom of it there are large slots. You can put a damp rag on a yardstick to get up inside between the glass. Hope this helps. You did an amazing amount of cleaning and you have certainly motivated me! 😘

you def need a deep dive into your extended pantry. i suggest making labels for the shelves for where you put things and to keep things you access the most closest to the door

I had a nice drawer for bread in our last house but when we moved I had to come up with a different solution. Now we keep our bread in those small plastic set of drawers. 2 whole loaves of sandwiches bread for perfectly in each drawer and we rotate from the top down. I do my pantry areas, so wish I had on 1 room, at least 2 x a year.

I’m on day 2 of packing up my finished basement for new carpet install in 2-3 weeks. Since our kids are grown and out of the house, the basement has become a dumping ground and it flooded last summer from a bad sump pump. Hubby left this morning to go Up North (Michigan) for opening day of deer season tomorrow. Schools close and employers don’t have issues with hunters missing work on November 15.

you can buy a timer for your water heater, at Lowes or home depot--i have had mine since 1980, 15 minutes of hot water heater per shower--shower together that's 15min a day for your showers w a mual switch or timer clamps
