Taking a walk on the wild side in South Africa! Yep, I did this crazy thing...I walked with lions on tour with #ExploreAfricaTour and it was an adrenaline-pumping, heart-racing moment! We learned quite a bit about the habits and lifestyle of these gorgeous creatures on our hour-long walk in the bush.
If you're interested in joining me in South Africa this year, let's go! I'm heading there November 15 - 22nd, 2020 with Explore Africa tour. For more information, you have visit the website, www.exploreafricatour.com

You should NOT be participating in lion walking! By visiting and paying to experience these places, you are directly contributing for these lions to be killed! These lions are a part of the canned hunting industry, in which a lion bred in captivity is exploited at every step of its life to make businesses money. It is raised in the cub petting industry by people, then used for lion walks, then once too big is used in canned hunting in which hunters pay money for a guaranteed trophy that the lion has no chance of escape, then the bones are sold to Asia. You can find multiple sources of this info. DON’T GO TO THESE PLACES!

I am South African, people don't learn until they eaten or killed by lions, before in the apartheid Era they were more strict, and had more control and the culling over wild animals. South Africans in this Era, seems to have gone out of hand and , I am talking about mostly white people, breeding canned lions for. Business , or have them shot by holiday makers for large sums of. Money , before it was never allowed. lions remains wild animals, no matter how Tame they look, only God can change a wild animal , and that will happen in the new world to come. In miracle cases God's angels can shut the jaw of a Vicious animal if they aught to. Save a person's life, but when people don't listen they walk open eyes into the lions den

If by precious & adorable u mean miserable, then yes...no disrespect to you or your post but most times the animals are not happy; most of these places are no better than zoos or cub mills (and we all know what those are for)...i pray this place (in the video) isnt like that tho
@fabiennecanals8166
@fabiennecanals8166 Жыл бұрын
@@elsamere It might be the case in some game reserve but it is not the case with Ukutula. Actually most of the females are given contraceptive so as not to overbreed. Ukutula actually runs the Ukutula Conservation Center (UCC) & Biobank, that is hosting a number of research projects by various academic institutions and international researchers and post-graduate students, including a long-term study on the endocrine/hormonal changes in the lioness and its influence on reproduction, a study on the effect of cub/wildlife-interaction on human connection with wildlife and their relationships with nature, as well as various other projects on feline reproduction and cryopreservation of genetic material of endangered wildlife species. It is not a "lion farm", which is unfortunately way too common in South Africa.
@fabiennecanals8166
@fabiennecanals8166 Жыл бұрын
@@wodee215 Having worked with Ukutula for many years, I can reassure you it is not the case there. Animals are exceptionally well treated, so much so that Ukutula has regularly been asked to look after animals that had to be removed from their owners because they were not looked after properly. I encourage you to visit the place, you will be able to see for yourself.

I'd assume you are not African that's why you probably don't know why they use sticks. No it's not to beat them! The stick is used as a 'barrier' to observe distance between the lion and a human. You hold the stick infront of you and face the lion, look in to their eyes. At no point should you give the lion your back. Hope that helps
