These structures are magnificent. They don’t take away from the beautiful landscape, they look as if they belong there.

Many thanks for your kind comment. Yes, there is a bus and ferry network in Shetland - go to zettrans.org.uk for timetables. You will have to be prepared to walk perhaps some distance from the nearest bus stop to see the many archaeological and historical sites.

how can anyone be so certain of the date of the construction yet none knows what they were built for... i think these stories abou brochs...are very much.....and no iron,,there a few vieos on the subject but I haven´t seen any piece of iron found at these sites...it all sounds like.....the video is very nice of course, it is what the historians say about these places...ahhh uuhh yah...
