Eating STREET FOOD You've NEVER HEARD OF in Phuket!🇹🇭

In this video we challenge ourselves to try out new street food here in Phuket old town! We’ve been trying street food in all the provinces we visit and STILL manage to find new authentic street food! We visit the Sunday night market in the old town and to our surprise, it’s completely FULL of tourists and shoppers ready to eat their way through the market! And best believe we arrived to do the same!
This night market is filled with spicy snacks, dessert, traditional sweets and so much more!
First thing that caught our eye was the seafood pancakes which were a whopping 30 baht ($0.90 USD)
Next up: spicy coconut - which sounded weird but was sooo delicious! For only 10 Baht ($0.30 USD)
Our favourite North East delicacy Sai Krok Isan 15 baht each ($0.50 USD) add the chilli for extra flavour!!
Miang Kham - Thailand in one bite! 25 baht ($0.75 USD)
Shev cannot say to no mango ice cream! 45 baht ($1.50 USD)
And last but not least a sugar palm coconut milk dessert 25 baht ($0.75)
We definitely challenged ourselves to some new and interesting flavours here in Southern Thailand! Let us know what we should try next!

Hello I found your vlog few days ago and love watching your videos Have you tried a Thai food called “ Hor Mok Talay” ? It’s mixed seafood served in a coconut shell, it’s coconut milk, red curry etc and that has become one of my favourite dishes in Thailand There are also one “Hor Mok Pla” that is one of my favourite My favourite soup is called “ Keang Som Cha Om Khai” , it’s a sour soup who is so delicious Please try these if you haven’t done yet 😊

You can get those in Cape Town at Wang Thai. They called spinach cones - Meang Khum. It’s my favourite. A burst of flavour with the lime, peanuts, coconut etc.

Oh, I saw you guys went past Kopi Tiam. It’s actually Malay for coffee shops as Phuket is another melting pot of Peranakan culture other than Penang and Singapore. You can see that the buildings are different down South. They’re called Sino-Portuguese. If you guys have a chance to come back to Phuket Old town, Mee Hoon and Hokkien Mee are definitely a must. And there’s also Oh-aew, which is an icy dessert native only to Phuket that could cool down the heat!

There will be a fresh seafood market around the fishing port in Phuket. Once you buy seafood, you can have the restaurant next door cook it for you by weighing 50 - 80 baht per kilogram and you can choose your own menu which is inexpensive and delicious. Before the Covid epidemic, have Chinese people Koreans love to come here.

Let me explain about the food you eat. 1.Hoy Tod or Seafood Tod. Tod means fried. Usually, this dish is cooked in a large pan and you can find this dish in Pad Thai restaurants. Thai people have adapted it by making a pan of Khanom Krok so that it can be divided into bite-sized pieces. 2. toasted sticky rice The flavor you eat is coconut + curry paste, which is only seen in southern Thailand. 3. Isaan sausages Actually, its full name is Fermented pork sausage. Usually, the sour taste of sausage comes from fermentation. and the pink vegetable at the sausage shop is pickled ginger.
