Street food tour in Thailand + WHERE TO NEXT?

In this video, we take you around a local Thai market in Chiang Mai and try out some of the most delicious and SPICY food! Most of what we ate was under $1 !!! We love going to these markets and trying new things.
Some of the things we tried: Spicy pork salad, Sai Ua (Northern Thai Sausage), chicken cashew nut, spicy noodles with chicken and fried ice-cream!

Hello, I just found your channel and loved it already. Hey I have a tip for spiciness remedy. Just a slice of bread. Put a piece of equal size of your tongue on your tongue and try to rub your tongue upon the sliced bread. Capsaicin residue on your tongue makes it very burning and it isn't water soluble. Bread can absorb capsaicin and relieve the heat, next time try it for yourselves.

Grilled chicken you eat It's part of the chicken. There will only be one piece of chicken. That's chicken butt. 1 stick has 3 pieces = you ate 3 chickens 🤣🤣 And the small crepes you eat It's a Thai dessert called Khanom Bueng. Its yellow filling is made from egg yolks. Orange is made from coconut meat and shrimp. The green part is coconut meat and pandan leaves. The green filling is a new addition to this dessert, usually only orange and yellow. And the noodles that the lady eats is Pad Kee Mao, translated into English is Drunken noodle. Actually, Thai people have fast food that Thai people tend to eat regularly. It's like a Thai hamburger, which is Phad Kraprao or Fried meat with holy basil. Most Thai people order Pad kraprao with various meats and fried eggs.😁😁🙏🙏

If you get a chance before you leave Chiang Mai to eat at the Swan, a Burmese restaurant, you should. All the food is really, really good there but the dish that my friends and I miss is the fermented tea leaf salad. Very refreshing and delicious.

Oh goodness...that spicy pork salad! I have no idea how.you ate that!!! Have you seen the rolled ice-cream dessert? They spead it out on an ice cold 'plate'...and then roll/scrape it up into twirls. It's yummy.

Thanks Craig! Oh yes... mango sticky rice becomes a daily ritual sometimes haha! We were slightly unsure of visiting the golden triangle due to some security reasons, apparently its been isolated for over 6 months... but we shall assess and let you know! 😊

If or when you guys ever are in phuket. Not thai food specifically, but you NEED to try Trattoria Capri Da Rico. Literally the BEST italian food iv had in my life (and iv had italian food in a lot of different actual italian cities). Tiny little restaurant in a side street near bangla road run by the friendliest old italian guy who made patong his home. He even remembers his customers by name after re-visiting 1 year apart. Only problem is italian food will never be the same again because you will NEVER find anywhere better. Its so good we even often consider making a detour in thailand when en route to any other asian countries just to eat there again. But yeah, try it for yourself if or when you in patong beach area, you wont regret it

Let us know how highway 118 is over Doi Saket, they have been repaving it over the last 4 years. Suan Charin Resort on the river just off 118 has great pie & clean restrooms. A good little back road into Chiang Rai off 118 past Charin Resort on the left will keep you off the A2 Highway. A2 not a lot of fun on a motorbike. 2113 to 1211 nice 2 lane road. Will get you to the White Temple the back way. Not really worth the stop though. Keep heading north on 1211 will get you into Chiang Rai. Pan Kled Villa is where we usually stay, quiet, nice pool. Check Google Maps, easy to get to off 1211. Laluna Resort is good too, nicer grounds & rooms.

Yes rice is a staple here too, usually eaten at every meal😊We have seen a few rice paddies but they are normally outside the city around an hour away from CM 😊Rice is always available at the street vendors and they have HUGE rice cookers ready haha😅

Chaing Rai is rural, but nice. Chiang Mai is the last city outpost in Thailand. All of Thailand is nice. But Thailand politicians are very confused and they hurting Thailand BIG TIME.
