🇹🇭 We are in BANGKOK! Is this the RIGHT TIME to travel?

We are back in Bangkok! It feels so good to be back in the city after 3 months of beach life in Phuket! We are certainly city people and crave the hustle and bustle - and Bangkok, never disappoints!
We depart Phuket International Airport and land in the Suvarnabhumi Airport at 10am which means we have the entire day to explore! It seems like Bangkok is waking up! Since we were last here in November last year we noticed more stalls and shops opening, newer cafes and street food markets! Exactly what we need - endless amounts of food and shops!
We take the Airport railway link to the city centre and hop on the metro to check into out hotel and explore the Sala Daeng Area! We head to Soi Convent which is a street filled with endless street food carts! Everything looked incredible! We then walk around and find some bubble tea! After a travel day we are always excited to get out and explore!

Bangkok is hotter than Phuket because of the urban heat effect. Bangkok is always alive. You're staying in Silom which along with Khaosan is the most touristy part of Bangkok hence why it was quieter last year. The best of both worlds is to stay in Phuket City where you have urban life and few tourists only 20 minutes drive from the beaches

I just picked up the chicken biryani on Soi Convent- just in time as it’s closed over the weekend and Monday according to the owner. I’m usually on the other side of the street so missed this place. We stayed in Sukhumvit (Asoke) initially and found it to be a little chaotic haha! We love Sala Daeng. We found it to be a little quieter and way more street food options haha! Although the hotels there were much nicer 😍

To me it's more of an asphalt jungle ie pollution from sooooo much traffic, tall buildings affording no breezes, people everywhere with the roads emitting heat from the sun and the sun itself which produces a sweltering heat box!!! Try to visit prah Khanong near Onnut sukhumvit 71 it has the old real Thai feel it’s only a little way on the BTS to nana it’s reasonable prices there for food and accommodation I love the energy and smells of food spices try to experience the bus as well

If you are going to stay in Thailand longer than April you should go to Chiang Mai for Songkran ( Thai New Year ) . The celebration has been cancelled for the last 2 years due to Covid 19 .
