I have the s22 ultra and I am absolutely in love with it. Coming from a 12 Pro Max previously. This phone is insane. The camera is unbelievable. As for the battery. It will seem bad at first. But you have to use the phone for at least a week or two and it will get much better. This is because Samsung uses adaptive battery. So it will take that amount of time for your phone to learn you and then adapt the battery for that

@@joshuat5140 well my phone was last plugged in at 9:00am this morning. It is now 9:45 p.m here. It has not been plugged in at all today since, and I am at 26%, and I stream music at work and in the car, I was also on a few longer calls when I got home. Loved the blind comparison of the photos and making us guess 1st. I definitely chose 90% of the samsung picks without knowing. I switched to samsung years ago, simply because I'm a geek for options and being able to dial in the settings the way I like. Apple is too locked down for me. Once you get past the memojis and green/blue BS, Samsung is just better. Way more free app options too. Everything on iphone seems to cost. Add the fact you have built in Dex (computer like experience), plus "Your Phone" app on Windows that allows you to drag and drop files from Samsung to computer and vice versa, and use android apps (including most games) on your computer. It packs alot more for the $$

@@hturt4 true cause Iphone is for the people that don't do anything more than just use the phone like a phone. Samsung on the other hand is for people who go crazy on their phones like customize it and even use it for work and kind off like a mini PC which I love since I like to use emulators to emulate games from various systems. The only bad thing about samsung is the SOC (System on a chip) for some reason the s22 ultra in South Korea, Malaysia, South Africa and the America's comes with a Snapdragon 8.1 which is the good SOC, but in other reasons it's comes with samsung's own Exynox 2200 which is worse and makes things like opening apps significantly slower which sucks but I live in north America so I don't have to worry about that.

You know some like heavy base, some like treble, some like mids, some like V tuning, some like balanced to Harman target. I mean don't you go through all the features of your phone when you buy? You must be really boring to do that. Just check the things once. It hardly took me 1hour to test my S22 Ultra and do some changes. In my experience, samsung phones just drink the battery when you're not using it. I don't charge my phones over night, ever, and when I woke up in the morning my phone would lose 8 to 10 percent battery just sitting there on do not disturb. I had a Galaxy S20 for 2 years. Now I switched back to an iPhone 13, and when I wake up, it might lose 1 or 2 percent battery overnight at most. They don't drain like Samsung phones do.

At the end of the day, you gotta go with what works for you. I love iPhones and how high quality the build is, with its fantastic seamless integration across multiple devices and the best app experience. But I have a $700+ Android flagship, with a 1440p120 display, all day battery, 2 times faster charging speeds than the iPhone, with freebies bundled in the box. So my likes doesn't actually make much "wallet-sense" for me. I go for what I can pay, and it doesn't make sense to fork out more for a downgrade in value. Plus, my working life revolves around Windows workstations, and not Macs, so it doesn't make much practical sense for me to switch either .. even though I'd pretty much love to have an iPhone - which will likely be chucked aside as a secondary.

Presently any movies I buy from Google play terribly and in the wrong resolutions. On my ultra wide it can't cope and on my 100 inch projector it is awful. Yet apple gets it right here every time. So the curved screen is for a bezelless design making a bigger image. You can get a Whitestone tempered glass on Amazon from for $40ish dollars (highly recommended). The UAG Monarch seemed to be the thinnest durable case I could find at a 20ft drop rating. And topped off with the camera glass from EMF; I've had this phone since launch date without a single scratch to date👌

That said ive had this phone 4 years and my screen doesn't have a scratch. And im an outdoorsy guy and have dropped it multiple times. Never needed any screen protection. The quality they make their screens now I don't see a reason to worry about the protectors anymore.

Also due to the fact that apple never changes anything. The features they do get that are “new” and wow apple customers are features android had for ages. Outside adding a dark mode, adding cameras, and changing the icons here and there it’s always the same phone 🤷🏻‍♂️. iMO what kills them is the complete lack of customization. If apple was to ever make it as customizable as android, I think android would be given a run for their money.
@m.b.557
@m.b.557 2 жыл бұрын
@@brutaldom pretty much. Apple doesn't have to work as hard as Samsung or other Android manufacturers when it comes to bringing new features because they really have no competition. Most iPhone users are users for life even if Apple goes years without bringing anything to the table. They are glamour phones that handle the basics very well and that's all most people really care about. Meanwhile Android manufacturers almost always have to focus on bleeding edge features because not only do they have to compete with other Android companies, but they have to keep their current customer base from getting sucked into the Apple hype train. My personal workflow and ecosystem is more Windows and google based because of the apps I use, so I will never jump head first into the Apple ecosystem. For content creators, graphics designers ...etc, and followers that want to look cool or fit in, Apple is going to be the favorite for most.

Interesting comparison. FYI: When capturing video ALWAYS hold the cellphone horizontal (landscape mode) otherwise the left and right of the video is cut off. It is similar to looking through a keyhole or wearing horse blinders. Notice, every TV, monitor, computer screen, movie theater screen, and the like, are all in a horizontal format never vertical. Also, we see our environment much more horizontal than vertical. Thus, videos captured in vertical mode (called portrait for a reason) become spatially disorienting.

Nice video ,but i need to clarify some things: The S Pen is perfect for scrolling ,works much faster than using a finger ,and you can add many features on its button. It`s pretty possible that the battery will drain faster than iPhone if you use the 108 mPx camera ,because most of the 48+ mPx cameras are battery drainers. You need to test Bixby Routines - when you set the routines up (for an example i don`t charge my battery more than 85% ,so i set up an routine not to charge above 85% ,so the battery will last much more cycles and i set up the minimum battery alert to 25% ,and i add TTS -text to speech ,so the phone tells me when it is charged or drained) ,you can make hundreds of routines (automatically disable wi-fi when i go out of my house ,or when i go to sleep the device turns off the screen olors ,mutes the sound and many many more functions) The second thing that you need to test is Samsung Dex -these are the two functions that separate Samsung from the other brands. I agree that the iPhone has better speakers ,when you listen to music ,but there are tons of sound and speaker settings in Samsung. The microphones are much better than iPhone ,and you can improve them in the camera settings. For an example - when you make a video and zoom in-the front microphone volume level will increase automatically. And there isn`t any brand in the market ,that has that much customization in a way of theming ,enchantment and additional functions that do not come by default. Just download Good Lock app from Galaxy store. You can also link your device with your Windows PC (it needs Windows 10 or 11 to work) ,so you can make the calls directly via your computer ,and the samsung eco system is two times cheaper than Apples ,and i cannot say that it is much worst ,and absolutely gets better with every update. BTW i am not a brand fen ,my hobby is to test every device ,that i can put my hands on ,so i don`t hate Apple or love Samsung, i just don`t like Apple`s policy about customization options in their devices. When i use an iPhone for a daily driver - i always jailbreak it,because their operating system is absolutely trimmed,that`s why they are a little bit faster than some android devices with similar specs ,or even a little bit better. But still... iPhone 13 Pro max beats one of my old devices - Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G (12GB RAM/512 ROM) only in two functions - the screen is brighter outdoors and the cameras. I am not a photograph ,so... And about the corner edges - they bring these edges from the Note series ,because the point is to use the device with a pen ,not holding it with the same hand ,that you`ll touch the screen ,because it`s almost 7 inches- the device is not exactly a smartphone - it is more like a Phablet - (just right between a phone and a tablet).

Screen brightness on the s22ultra is much brighter, u just have to turn off adaptive brightness and turn on extra brightness. Though that level of brightness is insane so I recommend you only use it outside.
