Really enjoyed your video chat and pocket tip. Your hair cut is very flattering. The blue dress makes your eyes sparkle! Little bit of Jesus always puts me in a positive frame of mind and seems to zing into my heart just when needed like good medicine! Thanks for the video!

The day after the elections, there were several posts floating around Facebook (with a positive message for once!) that reminded us that after the election is over, no matter who won, we can still be guaranteed that God will still be on His throne; Jesus will still be King of kings and Lord of lords; the Bible will still have all the answers; the Cross, not the government will still be our salvation; God will still be with us, loving us, and will never leave or forsake us. Your episode today reminded of that post. Thank you (and Lindsey @ Inside the Hem), too, for the genius way to making pockets from a sliver of a scrap of fashion fabric! Genius! Too early for your Christmas tree? I say not! We’ve been working on ours since last weekend! What a joy it brings! ❤

I can appreciate you putting up your Christmas tree so early. I'm going to have to move early next year and I don't know where I'll be next Christmas so I started decorating my deck because I want this Christmas to last as long as I can. Also, I told a friend of mine that I know I am God's favorite because we all are God's favorite! I love your videos, thank you!

Your hair cut is very nice looking on you. I love the dress and the pocket thing you did. Our Pastor just did two sermons on God’s love. I could have listened to it over and over.

I’ve been loving the shorter hair! It’s fun! and a pastor who gives sermons that you want to keep listening to - that's a pastor who's good at his job. Take it from a pastor's wife who's heard a bazillion sermons . . .

Good morning, Jen! I love how you can see your Christmas tree from your sewing room. I did cave in and listen to beautiful classical Christmas music, just once, while sewing some Christmas gifts. I love, love, love the style lines in that track suit pattern. It's so beautifully fitted and classy looking. Hope to see it soon. 🌲Bernadette

It’s fun to be sewing in a festive atmosphere! I might have to put on some music, too. I'm looking forward to the "track suit" (good grief we are ancient! LOL). Hope it doesn't give me fits. But I've gotta try!

Im going to put up my tree this weekend. Try adding protein to your morning coffee. It helps keep me full. Great pocket tip! Thank you.
@TodayinJensSewingRoom22 күн бұрын
Thanks, that's a great tip for the morning! I do put evaporated milk in (low cal and a bit of protein) and that does fill me up. It's another reason I have iced coffee in the afternoon - I stop eating around 3pm with IF and I always need something late afternoon/early evening! ❤️

Great minds think alike! I did that a couple of weeks ago in my videos but for a different reason. I use it if that fabric is bulky, like on my pink jacket. I've done it in jeans and trousers as well. Your explanation was so much better than mine 😂. I love the look of that simplicity pattern, just perfect for travel. I think Ponte is the perfect fabric for planes as it doesn't crease, looks smart yet is so comfortable. Glad you have sorted out your sewing room challenges and more shelving is a great idea. Christmas in November?!?! You crazy lady 😂. Mind you we always buy a real one, can you imagine what ours would look like on Christmas Day if we did that 🪵. Love love love that new 8640 💕. Have a fab weekend xxxxxx❤xxxxx
@TodayinJensSewingRoom22 күн бұрын
I need to try your bias binding on the back neck of a t-shirt! I've been meaning to do that. We'll see on the ponte, I hope that pattern doesn't give me fits. I miss having a real tree! But for us, we always travel over the holiday and we're gone roughly 10 days. Far too much of a fire hazard. I know, way early for a tree right now but I love it. One of my most dreaded times of year is right after Christmas when you have to put it all away. I thought maybe this year I'd be tired of it by then. Hope you had a fabulous time in the Canaries. I saw a hurricane come up that way and it looked pretty far from you. Hope it didn't give you bad weather - you are due for some warm sunshine! xoxox

Man youve got me craving an iced coffee!! That blue sweatsuit will look SO good with your wyes and your coloring! Cant wait to see it!! I head to Tennesse on the 15th for a couple weeks. Hoping to sew Andra and possibly Diann. Love and miss you.❤❤

I can't wait to see your new cut - you know, I'm loving this new hair cut and how it's styling! Had long hair my entire life and now I love it shorter. Go figure! I think it needs some texturing on the ends instead of being so blunt, but I thought I'd try it straight. We shall see on the blue suit - hope it doesn't give me fits! I'm heading to Ohio on the 21st for a long weekend then to Atlanta on the follow Monday for Thanksgiving at Mia's. Tons of traveling in November/December - hope one of those is to your house or you to mine. I miss you! Tell Andra and Diann hi for me! 😘

Hello Jen. Love the dress and the pretty blue trim. I’d like to know where you got your pocket pattern? I’m planning on making a cotton nightgown. It doesn’t have any side pockets, which I love to have on my dresses, night gowns and loungewear. Thank you in advance.
@TodayinJensSewingRoom22 күн бұрын
Hi Diana! That pocket pattern is just a copy from some random pattern that had them. I've made it deeper over time because I like deep pockets (LOL). And your nightgown - I have never seen the need for pockets in those. In a robe, yes. But a nightgown? I'm never going to need anything while I'm asleep! 😂
