@@lettucelemonade3825 My board is hotswap. Unfortunately though my only choices currently are MX reds (modified), and gat yellows. I really messed up on my first board. Did all this research. Bought 70 MX reds, the found out gat yellows are better. Bought the wrong keycap set because it didn't have standard bottom row. Had to buy a second set. A $230 build turned into $340. Good news though. I know so much more. I plan on building a Polaris when B-Stock arrives, true holy panda's, and either an SA set, or GMK Olivia. Built the gf a kbd19x and ymd09 with silent forests.

This video helped me decide on the silent box browns as my office switch. Since I work in a open office, typing noise is pretty critical for consideration, and I am happy to say that these switches are loads quieter than the stock switches that came with my board

Wow audio is noticeably better in this video, just a tip though, you might want to turn up the gain a bit for the sound test, the whole section was just way quieter than the rest of the video in general, including the mouse clicks and box jades. Side note I get goosebumps every time I hear a silent switch, you should review more of them

I love my Zeal Zealios and Zilents! Big fan of the feel of the tactile bump, and there is essentially no stem wobble on either of them, compared to the insane amount of wobble you showed. Great review, appreciate the stem wobble observations on switches.

This was a very funny, but also helpful review. It's too bad they're not as stable as the normal Box browns. How's the off center press binding? I'd be using them on a Kinesis, which doesn't have stabilizers on the thumb keys. The standard box switches work well in this board as they don't bind, and are way smoother than the Cherry browns (not saying much, I know).

That’s odd-I reviewed the browns and I didn’t feel that much of a “scratch.” Perhaps an odd batch? Maybe you can apply a thin layer of lube or something. Either way, great and entertaining review as always. Looking forward to more.

I saw! It may have been a bad batch but the majority of my switches felt, not quite scratchy, but the bump felt oddly 'rough' and inconsistent from switch to switch - I really don't have a better way to explain it or have any idea why

Hey, welcome aboard! As for your question - it's almost impossible to answer because what feels right (tactility wise, spring weight wise etc.) and what sounds good is gonna be based on your own personal preference. Sound will also depend heavily on the plate material, case, keycaps, lubricant etc. But to get a general sense of what's out there, have a look at holy pandas, zealios v2s, T1s (all no pretravel/large bump tactiles), the box tactiles etc. (I can't think of any newer low-medium tactile switches off the dome but if you join my or any other keyboard related discord's someone would be happy to point you in the right direction)
