Thanks for the nice comments too! I would be happy if people outside of Japan could know how good FL5 is. Yes, I hope I can continue to share information about fl5!
The bad points are either very nitpicky (eg: incandescent rear lights) or things that you should have expected from buying a car with the main purpose of driving at a track (eg: rough ride). I'd say the pros massively outweigh the cons. And to add to that the car will only continue to rise in value. So in conclusion I think you're pretty lucky to get your hands on one of these.
@FromCivicWindow Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes, you are right, the pros greatly outweigh the cons. I also think the value of the FL5 will continue to rise as I believe the next CTR will be a hybrid car. I consider myself very lucky to have gotten it. In fact, the FL5 in Japan was backordered more than 10 times the sales plan immediately after its launch and orders were immediately stopped.
Oh wow, my FL5 has been making a same noise and I was worried if something was wrong with my car. Thank you for posting this video! (I love my FL5 despite the cons too!)

excellent and nice review!! wonderful car and super engine ❤️ Unfortunately here in Italy we have the high price of petrol equal to almost 2 euros, with your exchange rate equal to 316,266 Yen. In fact the few versions we have are all full Hybrid precisely because they consume little.
@FromCivicWindow Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the nice comments from Italy!! Yes, the FL5 is really complete and the engine feel is great💯 What, the price of gasoline in Italy is 2 euros? The price of gasoline in Japan is 1.10 euros, so I was surprised that it costs about twice as much. But then again, the price of gasoline keeps rising in Japan as well, so who knows what will happen in the future. Unfortunately, the days of casually enjoying pure internal combustion engines are over. Still, I am grateful to Honda for making the FL5.

Yes, petrol costs so much in our country as it is highly taxed by the state, discouraging the purchase of these 4-wheeled masterpieces...

It's been great looking back on this last year! she reminds me of when I was studying her in your videos, before she came out here... and while I was impatiently waiting for her to arrive after ordering her! ☺️. I agree with your points, except that (fortunately) I haven't had any noise problems yet. The rear bulbs, replaced with LEDs after 1 week of having it! 😁 I would also add the slightly small tank as a bad point... but otherwise a great car!!! I'm more and more excited about it every day!!!

Arigato comment! Yes, the FL5 has made this a very fun year for our family. Thanks for checking out our videos from the very beginning! Yes, I forgot to include the small tank in the "bad points"! Stressful to have to refuel so often, but oh well, it's a minor thing. I'm glad to hear your FL5 is doing well too! 😁
@RaffaJDM Жыл бұрын
yes, perhaps given that it is a sports car, they wanted to give it as little weight as possible, limiting the tank... but as you say it's not a big problem, you stop 1 time more! 😉. true, the FL5 is the perfect family sports car! for me it is the "definitive" car. In the past I have always had sporty JDM cars, including the Honda Integra Type R. This makes me relive some sensations, with the added comfort and safety of a modern, high-performance car... what more could you want! 😁

@FromCivicWindow11 ай бұрын
@@chowronald6649 Unfortunately, the Type R seems to have cut costs on equipment other than driving performance. Perhaps the camera system is of an older generation and it is impossible to improve the image quality. When the CR-V is released in Japan, I will ask the Honda dealer representative if it is possible to have just the camera system replaced.
Great Video. I am a new owner of a CW FL5 since Sept 23. Last month I traveled to Japan for two weeks, I was hoping to see an FL5 on the road but couldn’t see any. Especially boost blue because in my country it’s not available. I did see one CW FL5 but in the Aoyama Welcome Plaza Showroom Tokyo. R-00006. I saw CW Integra Type R DC2 on the road in Osaka. Also visited Type One Spoon workshop. Next time I will try go to the Honda Museum in Motegi. Thanks for the subtitles. Fellow FL5 owner from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺

Congrats on getting your FL5! Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip to Japan. I'm jealous that you went to the Spoon workshop too! The Honda Museum in Motegi is where I'm planning my family trip too. @@FromCivicWindow Thank You. Hopefully we will see some content on the Honda Museum, sounds like a fun family trip. I am still in Honeymoon phase with my FL5, but definitely enjoying it so far. Have a good Day. !
Great video. Im wondering as i am considering getting an FL5 as well- do you ever find the car bouncing up and down when driving on Japan's roads(wheel hop)? Do you have a long commute from/to work?
@FromCivicWindow Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I usually drive in Comfort mode and have never felt the wheel hop. This may be due to the fact that the road surfaces are clean in Japan. I drive about 2 hours round trip to work. I have a slight backache, but the seats are good so my back has never hurt. With the seats in the Corolla I used to own, my back hurt at the end of the workday, so I think the FL5 is very comfortable.
@sil80d Жыл бұрын
@FL5ch.Type.R that is good to hear! In America we also have the Integra Type S which people say it is slightly more comfortable. However it is $6000 more expensive than the type R and the only things you get for the price are- leather power seats,an ELS sound system,a heads up display and a resonator delete. I would probably pick the type R because of the value. Thanks again!

very good video with good summary of the good and bad points. I agreed mostly. As for the rear indicator bulbs, can change to a LED bulbs.. I love my FL5, only had it for a month. May I ask what seat cover do you have on the driver seat?
@FromCivicWindow Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! The brand name of the seat cover is "GORDON MILLER" and the product name is "durable water repellent treated Cordura front seat cover". I like this seat cover because it can be removed quickly.

I really do not mind the bad points. I think they are good and also reflective of the 10th gen Honda Series. I think if you like this car, then you would love an Acura Series Type S. It is the type R, but improves on road noise and suspension. I feel most likely they would have a better backup camera, too.
@FromCivicWindow Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I am quite interested in the Type S in the Acura series, but unfortunately it is not available in Japan and I cannot test drive one. Yes, the suspension settings should be more comfortable in the Type S, and the rearview camera should be improved!

loved the video! thanks for including english sub. I wanted to ask what was your experience with the electronic handbrake? have you had to operate the car on any hills and do any hillstarts for example? was wondering how the mechanism worked as I own a manual myself but with a traditional handbrake and have never driven a car with an electronic one. do you press the button and release similar to normal hill start procedure? i.e. bring the clutch to the bite point then disengage the handbrake. Or does it disengage by itself without having to press? would be nice to know! thanks again for your informative video and congratulations on 1 year of ownership and to many more!
@FromCivicWindow Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! The automatic brake hold is very useful for everyday city driving. First, the brake hold is not activated by default. It must be switched on after the engine is started. This is the only time you have to press the brake hold button. If you step on the brake when you stop the car, it will automatically hold it in place, no other operation is needed. Also, when starting, the brake is automatically released when the clutch is connected, so no other operation is necessary. Even when going uphill, the brake is automatically released by slowly depressing the accelerator pedal while operating only the clutch pedal. So it is a really convenient function when driving uphill and in traffic jams!
In Japan, roads are driven on the left, so the steering wheel is on the right.
