The Aspect of Chiron is probably my favorite weapon in the game. It's so fun to go with it + Dionysus special, and my favorite one is with Ares special + the boon that makes curse deal more damage when applied multiple times + the boon that makes the curse take longer to go off, it's just so good to see the huge bursts of damage. Very cool video!

Good list! I would disagree on the Chiron bow ranking. I think Chiron + 4 extra arrow hammer is easily one of the S tier weapons and clears me high heat EM4 dad consistently. A chaos amped up Heartbreak Flourish hits for like 800-1000 easily and is incredibly safe as its ranged and target seeking, spammable while kiting. Compared to Rama, which does feel clunky and at times immobile to me, I definitely feel like Chiron is much more beastly, and on my personal list I'd exchange their rankings.

Also doom on attack and weak especially with curse of longing (or even just lightning) on special+ concentrated volley hammer is also good on aspect of Chiron.

Chiron bow is also my fav weapon in the game. I like getting Artemis special on it, then getting Artemis Aphrodite duo boon. It melts the bosses.

Yup, if you got it upgraded and have some luck with hammers, it almost feels too strong. Like the Divine Dash of weapons.

Also sleeping on the +4 arrows when it automatically increases base attack by 57%...If I get that hammer buff with artemis and aphrodite boons I can easily beat the final boss in under 2 minutes

One thing i like with blitz disc, and in fact it was one of my helping hands in my first ever clear was the blitz disk with the athena special. sometimes you can follow your disk around for alot of survivability in the bullet hell kind of scenarios.

Literally just lost to Hades with the shield, come to youtube and see this upload! Only been playing since 1.0 release but clocked 60 hours already. This game is crack! Also loving these guides. Not unlocked aspects yet. Could you do one on the best boon and weapon combinations?

Protip: Your bull-rush charge can block Hades slashes just wait for him to attack and unleash your damage as his combo ends. The same goes for his beams or waiting for his cast to wear down (trust me, the debuff is huge on you) :D

Also if you look for easy boons combos dionisus call is busted, SPECIALLY if you pair it with afrodite boons. I know it doesn't look like it, but once you take into account the dual status effect dmg boost talent in the mirror the numbers rank up by a lot :) you can always bring them to the run using the keepsake they give to you

Thanks to this I tried out the bow Hera aspect with Dionysys's cast + Frozen Wine and with Poseidon's cast with the Poseidon + Artemis duo boon in successive runs and both did great. I didn't understand what the aspect did before and now it's my favorite bow build

The Poseidon Cast with Hera Bow is amazing, too. Add the Mirage shot Duo from Poseidon / Artemis and it turns into a single-shot roomsweeper that can do 2000+ in a shot.

Using aspect of Zeus with thunder flourish is really strong in the beginning of the game when you don't have a lot of titan blood to go around. The speed at which the lightning bolts hit deals massive damage.

I'd say aspect of Hera is S-tier just because of how powerful it can be for so little investment, making it really useful for advancing meta-progress for beginners. Story time: I'd been playing for a few days now and never made it to Hades. Yesterday, I just unlocked the aspects and decided to select one for my bow because up until then Id only used it once right when I got it at the the beginning and decided the bow was wack. On my first try with aspect of Hera, I got to and killed Hades with 1 death defiance left. I was in shock. And I didn't even have a particularly good cast for the bow (Athena's phalanx Shot). Aspect of Hera is incredible and I demand it be placed in S-tier 😤

Zeus shield is my jam. I like to get Zeus or Dio on the special and then focus on melee boons/hammers. Throw out the special and then melee everything. Worth noting that, playing this way, Zeus doesn’t need to be fully upgraded. Just unlock it and you’re good to go.

I had some insane runs with Aspect of Zeus. Cleaning everything in seconds. I even had one with Duo Boon of Hunting Blades and I anhililated eveything in my path.

Zeus' special attack boon on Zeus' aspect is crazy fun - a constant thunderstorm wrecking everything. Lightning even strikes when Zagreus is touching the rotating disk. For Hera's aspect, I really think devs should rework how some cast boons work with it, Demeter's laser crystals especially

The Zeus shield is Godly. The trick is that when you enter a room, throw it at the enemies on one half of the screen and then dash towards the enemies on the other side of the screen. The Blitz Disk basically screens and culls the other half of the room, and once you clear call it back to you and it tends to nuke everything spawning in the middle that spawns as the two of you slide back toward each other.

Yeah, I've pulled like a 25 min clear, and had used the shield like 3 times before that on my Switch. Run it with Zeus, Dionysus, or Ares and you'll crush. I feel like you could pull something interesting with Poseidon where you recall it and use it to play ping pong, bouncing an enemy bank & forth between you and the shield.

A little note about the Beowolf shield: if you get the "bull rush fires a shot" hammer, the casts still go off around you. It took some adjusting for me to cope with that, but it still turned my Zeus cast into a monster.

I've had some success with doom special on the normal bow. It's good spread, and later with the stacking doom boon you can occasionally get much more damage with the shotgun

I LOVE Zeus shield aspect, it pairs SUPER well with athena's boon that causes it to deflect, it melts the furies when they use their waves of projectiles, great for witches circle, and during the Thesius and Asterius fight you can toss the shield in between yourself and Thesius and he'll damage himself by throwing his spear at it, so it removes that threat while fighting the bull, also when your getting chased by the exploding chariots, just throw that out and lead them into it, easy clear

I've only recently started runs with Zeus shield. I jokingly tried a run with all Zeus boons, including Jolted, and Cold Fusion. The only problem was I wasn't able to upgrade my boons a whole lot, even by the time I equipped my pom. It's a fun build, but I don't know yet if it will do well in high heat (especially not for cleaning rooms quickly). And for the bow, even today I cleared my highest heat (8) and almost beat my fastest clear with my usual Aphro attack/Artemis special; but the RNG makes it difficult to get the added shot on your special and tacking on +3 damage to consecutive hits to a foe. If you can make that happen, you can definitely get around 20 minutes clears without trying very hard. Your videos are helpful and super informative. Thanks man! Edit: as for this video also, I'm going to be trying all the bow aspects today to see how well I do. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to make the Guan Yu aspect for the spear to work lol

My first successful run was using the shield with aspect of Zeus, with Dionysus hangover on it, Demeters ice turrets on my cast, Dionysus on my call, and Zeus lightning on my attack. I was able to hit and run and pile on crazy DPS.

Actually beat my first run with the bow of Zagreus. I just love them crits. I also got Demeter regularly attack chill upgrade and then the marked upgrade on artemis and got the auto attack bow upgrade nothing could touch me and everything was dying

just ran the bow with the one that lets you load your cast onto your attack, then built out my casts with chaos blessings and hermes until i hit 6/6 then i got the homing casts and crit casts so my arrows would ride the bloodstones to the target even if i missed on top of the obscene damage, this game is freaking amazing with how diverse you can build, there was a bunch of other stuff i was able to add on as well, like the casts fall out after 3.3 seconds and when they drop out they do 100 a piece so in total with marking and crit at around 10-15% i was hitting for 1200-1800 all told with ragnarok double arrow and extra dmg, who knows what else, i pretty much killed hades in 8 shots stage 1 and another 12 stage 2. Truly this game is wondrous, at fist its ball bustingly difficult and then it just becomes so pleasant, still hard but the freedom just boggles my mind. I wonder if they are gonna make a dlc or add some weapons, I'd be more then happy to pay a bit and give them some more support.

I know I’m late, but I wanted to mention that ares on the special with Zeus shield can be so strong with merciful end. With Athena on the attack, while the shield is hitting the target, every attack is activating the doom damage.

Here after I had a Zeus shield run that was pretty amazing XD. Got the Special causing Doom with the stacking ability, the doom damage up, deflect on attack, and deflect immediately triggers Doom. Oh, and Artemis Dash damage AND 2 Chaos dash damage ups. Line up the shield so it hovered over Hades and go ham with the attacks. He melted so fast. Granted it was 0 heat. First shield escape, but still.

Yesterday I got a really strong attack build with an interesting interaction with the bow hammer upgrades, it made me think of the yondu's spear build but I think it is quite a bit better. The build I had revolved around Tempest strike with the sniper shot and chain shot hammer upgrades. The tempest shot whould keep all of the enemies at a far enough range for the +200% damage from sniper shot to apply and it seemed that the bounces from chain shot kept the sniper shot buff. I also got lucky and got flurry shot but I don't think it's necessary. You only need tempest strike wich makes it possible to get a sea storm build with this but unfortunately I couldn't get it to drop. I used chiron bow but I think it will work with zag bow as well. P.S. This is a attack build. Weird right.

I got a really busted run on aspect of chiron. That this is broken with zeus Artemis combo with +4 on special and stacking damage on special its was insane! All the bosses just melt with this thing. My favorite weapon

Regarding the shield of zeus aspect. A good strategy is to launch it in front of you and shield dash while you follow. You double up on the damage and it works really really well. Also, aphrodite’s book that launches arrows on every strike makes it godly. It synergies really well with a dash strike type of playstyle like this. Launch special and then go YOLO. (It’s the only aspect with which you can do it while the shield flies) Finally, dionysos and Demeter are really good gods for this special as they stack with multiple hits, which the shield does a lot, especially at level 1.

I'm looking forward to the last 2 weapons. Malphon is my favourite weapon but I find its hidden aspect the hardest to use due to the +50% damage taken debuff. Then there's the Exagryph... Worst special without Hammer boons imo.

Zagreus Bow is really good with its Crit Chance. You get twin shot hammer with it and Aphrodite attack with Artemis dash attack and you can crit for 800

Aspect of Hera was how I got my very first clear. I had Aphrodite on my attack, and Artemis on my special. Fire high damage shot, get behind Hades, and unload insane damage into his back with damage buff and high crit rate.

Not saying it's better than Chaos aspect, but I have a lot of love for aspect of Zeus shield. One of the first times I beat Hades was with it, at lvl 1. Lightning build on it was one of my crazier runs yet.

For the aspect of hera i disagree with you with some point, the artemis cast i was disapointed and Are slicing shot... just amazing when you figure out how to use it early the damage do not falter against dyonisus or aphrodites cast... if you manage to get duo with artemis your slicing shot become a seeking tornado blade of doom... just so fun so powerfull... special mention to poseidon cast, if you manage to get the duo with demeter you dont full charge your bow attack and it lauch a piercing ray with little ice slicing shot very weird to play didnt figure how to optimize it yet but has potential... sometimes i OS an Hades phase with it, dealing more than 2K damage with only 3 cast, sometimes i deal less than 500...

Hmm, I'm not so sure about Zagreus Shield being B tier. When maxed it does a lot of base damage. Also you can combine it with Sisyphus keepsake and allow yourself to focus on other boons. All you have to do is go for the "Normal attack -> Dash attack" reset and crush enemies.

I should do a video comparing all the zagreus aspects. That might be more informational. Zag shield would be top tier when compared with other zag aspects I think.

My only issue with the Aspect of Rama is the attack is as you said clunky. But it's actually pretty bad when the special is really the only reason I use the weapon. I prefer using the special and special only. I know it is limiting the damage but there are just too many fights, especially in Elysium and onward where enemies are too mobile and attack way too fast. It even starts being an issue as early as Asphodel and even Tartarus if you get a lot of small quick moving enemies. If the charge time was maybe cut down a bit I'd likely start using the attack more. But I did one special only run with it earlier and all the hammers I got were just for the attack which made it even clunkier and I just didn't even use that button.

I had a question about the Beowulf aspect When you hold your attack, for the rush move, you kinda hold your shield on the side for the wind up, as opposed to in front as with the other aspects. Does that mean you can't hold attack to block incoming attacks from the front?

I think it still blocks to the side Zag is holding it, but not in front of him.

I recommend trying the Charged Shot hammer with Chaos Shield. It worked for me because I'm not great at timing the bull rushes and sometimes leave myself vulnerable to damage.

IMO the only benefit is when you're playing Rail without the rocket upgrade. The rail special is the only move with awkward auto aim for me. Since it's kinda slow I sometimes want it to go where the enemies will be rather than where they are right now. And the auto aim sometimes makes it bounce off the scenery and hit in random places, which I can easily avoid while free aiming. On top of that, if you miss 1 or 2 shots of your regular attack because you're not auto aiming it's not as big of a deal as if you missed with the bow. Also as someone who plays shooters only on M&Kb, I'm not used at all to manually reloading on controller, while it comes naturally on M&Kb. That's just me, though.

I know this is just the Aspect's that you're reviewing and not so much the boons so I don't disagree with your assessment. But with boons, I think the Zeus shield has some insane potential for creative playstyles. I've been experimenting with it the last couple days, you can get some super broken builds.One one run, I put Athena deflect upgrades one it, and in boss fights like Theseus, you basically have a persistent deflection shield, as long as you stand opposite of theseus, every shot he takes is deflected back at him. Same for any projectile enemies really. On another build, if you do the artemis focus, where all damage you inflict causes an arrow to fire, just hurl the shield into enemies, and the constant spin will cause just a constant stream of arrows to fly into the targets separate from whatever else you are doing. Lastly, I did one that basdically turns the shield into the bow lol. It takes 2 hammers - one to replace bull rush with the blast, and then one that reduces the charge up speed of bull rush - that basically allows you to fire arrow blasts in place, and if you have your shield spinning in front of you, it'll protect you while you shoot.

Aspect of Zeus shield be S-Tier. You can throw out the shield and hold block until it comes back. This makes boss fights like Charon and EM4 Hades a cakewalk. A hammer upgrade that works great is the one removes the knockback from your attack. This allows you to keep attacking your units in your AOE Special. Stacking +Back Attack, AOE, and Damage Over Time in a circle is pretty OP.

What are the best keepsakes and companions atm? Saw ur last tierlist of them but it seems kinda outdated.

It all kinda depends and you usually don't wanna keep on one keepsake the entire time you usually wanna switch them out between areas as appropriate. You cant go wrong starting out with the Coin purse from Hypnos it's a free 150 gold at the start which means you can buy a boon from the shop everytime. Sometimes you'll want to see a specific god for a boon they offer so then you could instead start with their respective keepsake and forgo the 150 gold. The best gods typically to go for are Aphrodite, Athena and Artemis although its all down to what type of build you want/what weapon you're using/what gods you are seeing already in your run. For example Dionysus cast is insane with the Hera bow, Zeus is really good with the fists, Artemis synergises nicely with crit weapons like Zag bow or Nemesis Sword. But if you already have Demeter cast and some demeter boons it might be a good idea to get her keepsake and keep trying to get more. Also there are some Gods which work together really nicely like the Dio cast Hera bow build GREATLY benefits from Zeus' duo boon and other useful effects from him. Usually if you struggle with the boss fights (particularly Theseus and the Minotaur or Hades) you can take either the Lucky tooth from Skelly or the Acorn from Eurydice. You could also just take the lucky tooth if you feel like you might die in the next area. If you are more worried about the rooms in between the bosses and sustain then your best bet is the harpy feather duster from Dusa which can drop hp from destroying pots. One of the cool things about this game is that imo there isn't an objective best keepsake that you should just always use and ignore the others. It's highly beneficial to switch between them when the need arises.

That’s not how Hera bow works. It releases the casts in first enemy hit OR at the end of the attack, whichever comes first. Edit: And that’s not how shared suffering works. Enemies ragged take 60% of damage done to ANY enemy. An example: On the purple stone enemy, tagging the boss causes it to take damage for each one of the little stones you hit with your attack. Your attack also does a lot more flat damage and takes longer to charge.

Chiron and Rama are S tier for sure, Hera and Zagreus bows are both B tier for me; the shotgun effect of the Zagreus special is risky, and I'm not a cast player, so the upside to Hera is totally lost on me. Literally took Rama out for the first time today and with Athena's Call, Support Fire, Herme's special speed +30% and Dionysus putting 18 drunk on each arrow, it made for a very easy Hades fight. Lost 27 health the whole fight because of a chariot he summoned got me before I could kill it. Didn't use the charge shot much at all except for Lernie, where I could just about take two heads out with one shot. Chiron just wins runs if you put doom on the special, it and Rama are probably my two favourite weapons in the game.

With Rama, I'm almost never using anything but the special, especially if I can find Zeus or Artemis early doors. When it comes to variety builds that like to do a little of everything... I mean, that's why I'm subscribed to you and Haelian (who shouted you out in a recent video and is the reason I found this channel, as it happens), so I can kick back and enjoy the insanity I know I have zero patience to assemble myself. If I was just watching all of my runs with different commentary, it wouldn't be nearly as fun! :D
