Hey Becca, I think I’d do both borders to show off your beautiful braids. I’ve caught bronchitis in sympathy for your COVID suffering I think. You still sound like you’re struggling a bit with your lungs and head. I’m sorry this has “attacked” your body. I am really enjoying your weekly vlog, love seeing your wip's and finishes! Thin sand and wide teal border combo is my vote for your gorgeous braid quilt. I think Kimberly/FQS said if you starch jellyroll strips it shrinks Lengthwise and the 2-1/2 width should be ok, but as always do a tester first. I appreciate all that you do for for your quilting community!😍

Like Tiffany, I too love to put my binding on the back and sew to the front. I do everything by machine. Been quilting for 30+ yrs. I also love embroidery and applique and incorporate it into my quilts. I have made Lori Holt design boards and love them, game changer! I really enjoy your channel. I vote for thinner sand color border with the darker teal wide border - that should really pop and gound the center braiding & sand sashing. I agree - design boards are one of those notions you might think you don't need - but you need a design board - they do make quilting life so much easier - and they're so cute as well. I'm going to have to make myself a glasses case to go in my pocketbook, and work on my January Secret Santa Project. It's pretty bad, the person running it this year is already behind. I've also got to start on an Easy Ribbon quilt for my daughter-in-law's grandmother was just going through the testing to find out if she has breast cancer. They're pretty sure it is malignant from what they're seeing on the CAT Scan. Enjoy the time with your mom and family. Break a leg for your daughter! I was a band mom while my kids were in middle school. They gave up band when they went to high school.

On bias edges in a block. Sew around the outer edges where the seam falls inside the 1/4" seam allowance. It makes the 1/4 and hsts stable where they won't stretch.

Happy birthday week! Enjoy your daughter's band concert. Happy to hear that the grandparents are taking the time to attend too. I don't know if you or your husband were in band, if so, this is preaching to the choir, but if not, please encourage your daughter to stick with band. The opportunities I had from from being in band, my husband and what my kids had from being in band were definitely a plus. If you have the time, volunteer as a band parent. It too is an amazing experience and will definitely be appreciated.

Girlfriend, How can you sit in one place & sew for 6 hours. It really gets to my Back & between my shoulders. I have to go stretch and lay flat for at least 30 minutes to an hour. Then I can & do 😊 return to my machine.
