They have Learners Permit and P Plate has power restriction of power to weight then Manual and Automatic Licences... The turbo versions of some cars would exceed power to weight allowed...

SVG is actually a Kiwi lads, so although he won three Australian V8 supercar titles, he’s actually from New Zealand so our brothers from across the water might get a bit upset if you call him Australian ha ha. Also, on Sunday, he had all sorts of issues with his car that ruined his race. His dashboard was changing pages every time he hit a bump, so when he went to do his initial pitstop, it made him speed and he had a 30 second time penalty added to him. He then drove back to the top 10, and on the way he lost first gear, which meant he had to do at least six corners of the track in second gear when they actually needed first gear. He also had to somehow get out of the pits in second. Despite all of that he drove his way from the back of the field to 20th. On paper it doesn’t look like he was very good, but considering all the things went wrong he did pretty well. He had a lot of car issues this year with the team he is racing with. I hope they get it sorted out so that he can do his best.

I'm glad you said that! I'm bad to say he's Australian because he ran in the supercars! Sorry about that! Yeah it's tough when you're in a car that is only run part time. Seems to be pretty normal to see issues like that when it isn't run every week!

Nothing wrong with the car guys, it’s the fact that they have such big tyres that anchor them to the track. If you slim that tire down by 100 mil, at least, you’ll find the cars will start to move around a lot more especially after a bit of tire wear, and you’ll find that more passing will be available to the drivers.

Yes that is very true! But will NASCAR actually agree to that is the issue. They have a bit of an issue admitting they are wrong.

@@shift_points you are probably correct there. A lot of sporting organisations have an issue with admitting when they’ve got things wrong, not just NASCAR. Hopefully they can see by what happened at Bristol this year that if they have less grip on the tire it creates better racing.
