The back end side is suppose to go to a frame bracket where it connects to the rubber line that is going to the diff.

Sorry you are going to have to refresh my memory here! What's this referring to?
@sydrider6023
@sydrider6023 5 күн бұрын
@@shift_points yes, the rear extremity of the front to rear brake line is suppose to screw into the flex hose that is held in place by a L shape bracket attached to the frame (driver side) just in front of the differential and above it. This bracket is made so the flex line is secured to it and so you can attached the rigid line coming from the engine bay to this flex rubber hose. This hose then is connected to a Y bronze fitting that is secured to the diff tube with a bolt. The Y then can be connected to the driver side wheel and also to the passenger side running a top the differential.
@shift_points
@shift_points 5 күн бұрын
@@sydrider6023 Oh okay understood! That's true for the drum brakes that were on it from the factory. Since the disc brake calipers have to float you have to have a rubber line at each caliper. So I just picked the shortest way to the L brackets I mounted on the frame and ran it that way. So far it has worked super well!
@sydrider6023

@@shift_points yes, I didn’t think about your rear disc brake set-up. You absolutely need flex lines for this. I was able to pull the original steel line from my 63 this evening. I have purchased a stainless steel pre bent line but honestly, I have no idea how I will reposition it like the original with the body on the frame…😣 I saw you have a nice proportioning adjustment device under the brake master. That's a pretty slick kit. I really wanted mine to look original so I had my clean original AM radio converted to AM/FM. I forget how much it cost since I had it done nearly 20 years ago. It's 100 watts and I have the dual voice coil 6x9 in the dash with another dual voice coil 6x9 in the original location in the rear package tray. It also has outputs for aux and an amp if I wanted to hook one up. It does not have blue tooth since that was not really common back then. I'm sure you could get it now.

@randygregory4852 a motorcycle carburetor is not the same as a V8 Carburetor with 100 tiny parts that must be functioning correctly for it to properly meter fuel and air, and not die at idle. You've got a pin and a slide with a return spring on a cable and a few jets to worry about, not the same thing. But keep on with your strawman arguments and lack of knowledge.

@sacclunch209 carbs are obsolete, dirty, and shouldn't be even a consideration, but for small engines. And no, you're not cleaning and making a tiny 100 part V8 carb from the 1950s and 1960s work with just new gaskets. If any of those parts are worn, or the bores they sit in loose, it won't run right.
