Shifting from Limbic to Liberating Intention, with Tara Brach [2020-01-15]
Becoming conscious of our intentions is the first step to truly aligning our life with our heart. This talk explores identifying when we are being driven by grasping and fear, and ways we can bring compassion to unmet needs and discover the deeper longing - the liberating intention - that guides us to freedom.

Our society needs more people like yourself to guide those who are lost in there own mind. You have helped me so much in realizing that i was living an unconscious life, now I am awakening and realize I have control of my thoughts and emotions thus my reactions. Thank you 💜💜

Tara, as always I love your talks. I have a question about trauma and how it relates to loneliness and being cut off. I'm 65 years old and I have Early Childhood PTSD from being unloved. The nights are worst and I tend to eat all night long . The loneliness is so painful and there doesn't seem to be a cure for it because I'd have to rely on someone else. And everybody else I know has somebody. I'm the only one alone. Every night I get so lonely and anxiety Creeps in and I don't sleep I consume food all night long night long while trying to sleep. I'm lucky if I get two or three hours a night.

Why oh WHY must you bring politics into your talks?? I actually had my HUSBAND listening to you...... until you brought politics and the environment into your talks.

@@fingerprint5511 Thank you for your kind comment.........it shows how spiritually evolved you really are. And yes, of course politics and the environment is a reality that I'm VERY educated and aware of. I am not naive about the corruption in government that has gone on for the last 30+ years..... I am very thankful that we NOW have a President that is doing something about exposing that corruption and trying to save this country and the Constitution. If you listen and believe the main stream media, then YOU may not be aware of the EVIL that has been going on and it will soon be exposed for the world to see. But I come to this channel to learn about spirituality, not to have someone give their opinion on their views of politics/environment. My husband listened because he was interested, not because I made him listen. Unfortunately, when he started hearing Tara speak on these issues, he was turned off and is no longer interested because he sees she has fallen into the false narrative that is put out by the main stream media........ that made me very sad.

I on the contrary took away some helpful hints which lingered on even before I went to sleep. None of what you wrote above really caught my attention to make it's mark. I wouldn't have known about the noisy world around us, if you had not mentioned it here. Maybe your expectations were not met thus making you a little disappointed so much so that you were not able 'receive' more from the rest of the talk. Whatever that happens outside of us, the politics and the environment still happens and we have no control over it. It comes and goes but it can stay if we give room for it in our 'head' . Not as a choice but by the way it makes us feel since we all respond and react differently to express these emotions from within.
