Yeah it's seriously funny how Indians get excited and amazed with these cars whereas people in other Asian countries, even in Thailand, Malaysia, China, Indonesia would be too embarrassed to drive these kind of extremely ugly and underpowered toy cars. That's why these cars never made it to our shores. Heck, we even think certain BYD, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes and Tesla EV cars are ugly.

We Indians are also easy to fool and blind, first look at the safety ratings of Tata Nano and MG Comet. Power figures and not to mention Comet is an EV with a range of 250km on a single charge. Tata Nano was marketed as Garib ki gaadi, MG on the other hand is for a niche category of users.

Only if this car was under 7L than could have made sense but at 9L this car makes no sense with all the limitations in my opinion

I saw a lot of negatives comments about why ppl hated Nano but likes this vehicle... The headroom of this and features of this car is way more than compared to Nano its also more comfortable Nano was the first of its kind and back in those days there were good alternatives than Nano... Nano also had reliabiliy issues and its engine was too weak and it would often stall under heavy loads I was a Nano user myself and I know what its like compared to a Comet... its a night and day difference there were no safety features and marketing of Nano wasnt good at all

@ that’s exactly what I wanna point out… we are criticising Comet because people criticised Nano Which was manufactured by Tata These guys are thinking we like comet because its a international brand.. this is the issue we Indians like to emotionally attack with absolutely anything and make a fuss about it… Tata Nano was *not* good at all It was first in its segment and nearly 12yr old vehicle so u cant blame it But still even back then there were better alternatives to a nano… The comet is mainly aimed towards users who wanted a similar segment vehicle compared to a Nano but with all the modern features that normal sized cars comes with.. So its a win situation
