trapping doesn't work on the streets
@combatfitness70927 жыл бұрын
it doesnt work.. show me a sparring video or a fight where a wing chun guy was able to trap and counter multiple strikes from a boxer.. in fact show me a street fight video where someone uses wing chun.. you can mainly find boxing on street fights but never wing chun.. show me a video where you can see wing chun looking like the chi sao's that they practice when a fight begins..
@DipakBirade7975 жыл бұрын
Because local people knows only boxing stance and punch and kick and thinking that they are boxer they even not hear the name of wing chun

Sifu.. please, let be honest ,do you think its decent of you to claim you are demonstrating JKD when in fact the truth is, you have never studied JKD. Do you not charge money good money to people giving them impression that you are qualified to teach them something you have never studied and never been qualified to teach? Please tell everyone here openly and clearly- where, when and who did you study JKD from?( please note- men in bangkok who have also not sudied JKD can also not qualify you) When someone forced this question upon you recently all you could say was " I do not have to answer to you". That was the only response you could give because the sad truth is that you are not qualified at all to teach this art and should be accepting money and other advantages from people from people you have fooled into thinking you are.
@k14michael8 жыл бұрын
Really? looked like he's over qualify to me. Where is your demonstration videos? I see nothing on your you tube account. I don't know this shifu personally but his demonstration alone speak volumes. No matter where he learned from it looked very impressive.
@Apaged8 жыл бұрын
Panalee Naklor this is decent JKD. I don't care if he learned from KZbin as long as his execution is correct.
@minnesotakungfucom8 жыл бұрын
let me first say I know nothing about this guys background saw one of his shaolin videos and thought it was pretty good (and I've done seminars with a couple different shaolin monks) so thought I'd check out some of his other videos while he's not one of the top JKD people I've seen (I've done many seminars and talked with Dan Inosanto who is the best) the drills he is doing are real drills and it looks like he's spent years practicing. if he is misrepresenting his background that's not good but is he qualified to teach martial arts? from what I've seen I'd say yes
@Apaged8 жыл бұрын
What matters is his structure and energy. Both are in the right place with Kanishka. So his lineage honestly does not matter. Lineage is something which is in other peoples head, to convince themselves whether something is good or not. In reality its immaterial who you learned from if you cannot stop a punch.
@minnesotakungfucom8 жыл бұрын
totally agree belts, trophies and lineages are good for impressing people but often have little to do with skill and are often easy to fake or buy (as naklor was implying) but rather than worry about if credentials are real look at if the instructor has skill and the ability to teach this is all you need to know
@charleycyrene82538 жыл бұрын
you are demonstrating an art you have never studied. You make claim that have been proven false. Your technique is quite poor.
@Apaged8 жыл бұрын
Charley Cyrene what's your problem man ?
@AadharMalhotra8 жыл бұрын
Well, Charley. The fact that you call his technique poor without really establishing your own credentials speaks volumes. If you have proof of any of your claims, I suggest you bring it out in the open. If you feel you are an authority on technique, why not come to our school and demonstrate? We would be happy to host you.

That's a typical comment from someone who hasn't fully walked the path of JKD. Dan Innosanto and bruce's students refer to JKD as a philosophy and the reason being is the use of many martial art systems doesn't make it new. Just a chosen variety of techniques that the practitioners uses.If his base is wing chun he may use a pak sao if it's choy lay fut maybe sao choi? The idea is INTERCEPT. The more you know more you can anticipate, also the less you need as experience may show you certain techniques work better than others. Get the idea? It's a journey and when you have mastered a system that works for you then expand! For him his base is shaolin which is just about as good as it gets. What he can teach you will work! And that's JKD
