Looks like Lacey enjoyed chewing on her treat for as much the enjoyment of a good chew as just the joy of a tasty treat. I honestly don't know why Lacey's head tilts back like that when she is having a good chew on a treat. Maybe it just feels good as one of those little idiosyncrasies some dogs develop as they get older? Kind of like older men taking up golf?😄 I can see why you might be a wee bit nervous about Lacey doing that, though... I don't mean taking up golf (though that would be quite something)🏌‍♀😳 Main thing is Lacey is doing well and looking fabulous, and that is priceless 🐶🌻 You would hate it here in Scotland these last couple weeks - barely out the 60sF, wet and windy. She is really enjoying them 💚😬 As I mentioned, she does make me nervous, but I’m sure that she knows what she is doing. Some mentioned that she tilts her head back so that she can use her back teeth and I think that makes sense 😉 I am happy that she has been enjoying her cooling mat so much as it has been really hot and humid 🥵 here lately. In the beginning (0:47), Lacey is looking around as you mention the air conditioner and fan. It’s like she understands your words and is looking around and identifying the fan and air conditioner. Old doggie lady Lacey is so cute!!🥰🥰🥰 Mmmmmmm😋😋😋😋 did you see how fast Lacey finished her dental treat!! She must really love it!! (6:10 to 6:24 mom says to Lacey, “You’re going to go back and rest Lacey? so I don’t have to worry about you.” ) Lacey quickly rests her head listening to mom’s words!! It could have been coincidental or it could have been because she understood you but I feel like she really gets you and is very grateful to you.❤❤❤❤❤ Would you be open to filming how you tie her hair and groom her now that she is a senior dog. Is she just as obedient as before or does she dislike certain parts brushed as a senior doggie? I appreciate you sharing this journey with Lacey with us. I always did think that Lacey kind of knew what I was saying to her. She sure is a smart doggie! Oh my gosh, she eats those Greenies so fast and still makes me nervous 😲 She really does love them 💚😁👍🏻 I have to admit, Lacey has become a bit difficult to groom now. Well, at least around her face. I have been trying to trim around her eyes and nose because her groomer is having a little more trouble with her also. Emme and Eli LOVE Greenies. Saturday night is Greenie night. They go crazy when I open the bag. Emme will tip her head back like that when she wants a better grip without losing what’s in her mouth. She does it with her chewy bone. I’m not a fan of this as I see it easily going straight down her throat and causing some serious problems. Yup! Our dogs are our babies. Staying cool inside is about all one can do this summer. We’re looking at a mighty hot one next week. I love watching you rest on your cooling mat. I feel more at ease when you sleep. I am happy that the vet said it was okay for her to have them 👌🏻💚😊 The weather is supposed to be descent this weekend, but hot again next week. Lacey is such a sweet girl and I've been watching her videos for quite some time. It is hard to see our "babies" aging, but I'm glad she is doing well. My boy, Tahoe, is 14 and has some of the same quirks when eating, head tilt, sometimes sideways. He never has a hard time finding the cat food though! LOL I also worry when he is chewing because he has been known to swallow without chewing; it's scary. He also likes raw chicken necks which have been great for his teeth.
