This is one of the most convincing performances of the set that I've ever watched/listened to in my life. If I could play the whole set right right now, I would do it exactly like you. Your natural rubato and your impressive precision and control of the dynamics make me want to go to my piano and practice. This video deserves millions of views! I literally enjoyed every bit of it. Bravissimo!!! (sorry for my over excitement)

Hi, Yahya, your kind words mean so much for me. Greatly appreciated! And yes, the channel is growing ( a bit slow, but growing) I just hope that I can share my knowledge/ experience with more pianists.

You have to have insane stamina to be able to 12 chopin etudes and still finish strong with the revoultionary. This is absolutly mind blowing
@ShijunWangPianoChannel3 жыл бұрын
This experience taught to how to relax! I think that’s more important than stamina. And of course I was both physically and mentally tired after this first half of the concert.

@@ShijunWangPianoChannel I was just recently working on a Chopin prelude with very quick and relentless arpeggios and I found the same thing. When my hand was tense my entire arm became sore after a few lines, but when I allowed my hand to relax I could play without soreness and quicker! Piano is full of so many details to master to play beautifully!!

Impressive! Some of the pieces are played in a faster pace than those in your tutorial like #5, #10. Love your video and the way you play. Very clear and precise in a live setting, especially #1, #4, #7, #10 and #12. People who wants to learn these etudes should definitely see these videos.

Wow.... I just came from a scale video to watch this. Thank you again!! I struggle to keep with my ichinin. . Daily practice is the phrase that stuck with me. If I ever want to play something as amazing as this, then I must get on a routine of progressing my skill faster than I let the sands fall to the bottom of the hourglass.

Many thanks for sharing your wonderful performance. I've thoroughly enjoyed your etude tutorials and have renewed optimism that I might just about be able to play one of them (in a fashion) after an abundance of practice!

The purpose of me spending some much time to make these videos( not counting the practice time) is to tell people, these can be handled with the correct knowledge of how our hands, wrists, arms work.

He is so much better..more genuine in his expression..than Lang Lang. I cant stand his unnecessary facial expression when he plays,,its a form of subtle marketing , selling himself as good..
@ShijunWangPianoChannel3 жыл бұрын
Man, I get what you mean. But Lang Lang is such a super man who can play anything! In that regard, he is one of the top musicians of the world.
@SZ-wb1qb3 жыл бұрын
But Lang Lang is good, musically, if you close your eyes. Should we not judge a musician solely by the sound of their music?
@damien90603 жыл бұрын
@@ShijunWangPianoChannel Actually many other pianists, piano tuners and technicians..even those from Europe dont really think much of him. Its all about extra thrills and marketing. I am just an average pianist , but I know who's got substance. Some of the famous pianists cant interpret a piece properly. To do this you need to feel the piece..the emotions of the composer...the history etc.. But sir, you are doing a great job..I am following your tutorials. Lol.
