Shilese Jones & Kayla DiCello Get Injured at US Olympic Trials (June 28, 2024)

I am so sick over this! I literally am sick to my stomach just thinking about it. All three women that were injured (skye, shilese and kayla) are beautiful gymnasts and we're so ready to rock it in Paris. I have no doubt this won't be the last of them that we see though. They'll be back. You'll see.

Skyes Coach really needed to reevaluate his approach, when his gymnast got hurt multiple times at important events.

No they won't! And that's the shameful thing about it. The Olympics come once every four years. And by that time both Shilese and Kayla will be too old and past their prime. I actually think they injured themselves purposefully to get out of competing in the Olympics. Both of those girls are mentally weak and can be inconsistent. They don't want to deal with the pressures of competing in the Olympics.

Kayla was on the team if she didn't hurt herself. The look on her face of "i worked so hard for this and at the last minute it's taken away" is devestating

Crazy as this may sound... I actually think Kayla injured herself on purpose or exaggerated it. Some of these girls don't want to deal with the pressure of the Olympics and will look for a "way out". I believe this is the case with Kayla. She is mentally weak. Same thing might be the case with Shilese Jones. These two do great in competition for the past year then suddenly as the Olympics are coming both get "injured". I'm not saying this is a fact. It might be or it might not be. But it is my strong opinion that both Kayla and Shilese are looking for a "way out" of the Olympics because they can't handle the immense pressure that comes with it. Btw I think that Simone doing what she did in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics set a precedence for this type of behavior.

Sometimes that can be the case, if athletes can't deal with the pressure, they'll go to tactics such as this one. I wouldn't put it past her that she did it.

GET A LIFE.. and second of all how incredibly demeaning to say that about these girls. To make them out to be cowards and manipulative after trying so hard and getting injured like this.
