*The article* says - "In Busche’s mind, not embracing the lived experiences of the development team would result in stories and worlds that feel less relatable, less alive. Game developers also need to feel safe in what they do, which ultimately means being able to see themselves reflected in their work" *Oscar Wilde* said - "Art has no moral responsibility. Art should strive only to be a beautiful object entirely separate from its creator." These journos need to go back to school.

They are actually both wrong. The point of art is to communicate/evoke values. Yes, beauty is a value and that is one expression of art, but so are other values. I would say Dragon Age, to Corinne, IS art as well. It reflects their values. Maybe not the whole team, but it does reflect their values. Now whether the observers derives any enjoyment or entertainment or self-reflection or meaning from the art BioWare creates is a whole different story altogether. Just because something is "art" doesn't mean that it's necessarily "good" art. I would also argue that there is a moral element to art. If you're communicating and evoking values, then there is an inherently personal morality baked into it. So Oscar Wilde is wrong in this sense. If you make a scene that is intended to be beautiful, then you're communicating that you value beauty. Or if you create something that people would find repulsive or gruesome, you're communicating your value against it - or maybe even for it, or you just value controversy, or you want people to think about it more. Even something like Tetris still has moral value judgements in it. It emphasizes the values of order, efficiency, adaptability, and perseverance, and obviously, from the creator's perspective, these were values to him. If they weren't, he would not have created it in the first place. So in short, art communicates/evokes values. That is the point of it. This is also why in philosophy, it is often built on top of metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, etc.

I get such a weird sense of... Betrayal? from all of this. Like they ruined an entire franchise in our name, and then abused us on social media, while telling us we're "traitors, tourists, etc." and the game actually "isn't FOR us" after all. Some games didn’t even let you choose a male or female protagonist but had you stuck with what they gave you. Only recently I catch myself looking at a game I’m considering to buy, thinking „this clearly wasn’t made for me“ or „I’m not the target audience“ or „there’s no room for me here“, even if they are additions to long running franchises I have loved in the past. This whole culture war was never about inclusion and unity. It has always been about division and fueling the flames on two growingly extreme sites.

Oh yeah, so... I happen to cross Corinne sharing this article on Bluesky (just happened to be there before the exodus that happened), anyways, I happened to comment on it saying that I disagreed with the article. Stated some positive stuff about the game like great performance, excellent texture for hair, and I liked some of the environment art cause some places were super pretty to look at and I was sad there wasn't more of it. But I criticized everything else about the game. Overall, just to say why it is that I fundamentally disagreed with the article, cause everyone else was kissing ass very hard. Suffice to say, Corinne Busche CANNOT take any form of criticism whatsoever. This makes them a poor sport who doesn't understand the meaning of accountability, because Busche is refusing to take said accountability to the failure of the game EA put Busche and Epler in charge of. So yeah. Oh, and the writer of that article blocked me too and I was more harsh with my criticism there, the guy is also a wuss who can't take criticism at all. So I now I lowkey can't wait to watch gaming journalism get dragged through the mud along with the people who took part in running Dragon Age through the mud, because that was one of my favorite game series of all times and they killed it. Because Dragon Age was an already progressive game, if they stuck to the same formula and didn't strangle it with the DEI stuff (I work in the industry and I saw what the training was), then perhaps we could have gotten a much more complex story... but that already was a fat likely chance because of EA. Single player? Make it muliplayer! Oh... Anthem flopped...? Make it single player again!

The destruction of DA lore I did notice in V-tard, so Buschy Boy had a manly hand in destroying lore for both EA franchises. Bioware should give away the game to an Indie dev so they can write a proper _Dragon Age: Dreadwolf._ I recommend replacing Taash with Qwydion from _Absolution_ as well as adding Evangeline from the novels as companions (Qwydion representing the Lords of Fortune would be funny since no Mage specialization is associated with them). This can also be a good opportunity to finish the storylines from _Absolution_ as well as add a backstory for Qwydion. Plus, there should be a seventh faction; I recommend the Imperial Chantry since they're underexplored and the game is *criminally* missing a Templar specialization (for a lore explanation, you could say some people began smuggling Lyrium, with Evangeline's help, to a certain faction of Imperial Templars after the events of _Inquisition_ thanks to interactions with (at least) the Red Templars making things difficult for the Venatori). In addition, it needs two more specializations to them than just the Templar, like the Spirit Healer and the Tempest; for the latter, since Heir from _Inquisition_ has appeared here, it makes sense that Khim would appear in Minrathous with the Shadow Dragons. Finally, Spirit Magic should be included in the possible magic trees as well as Blood Magic; the two can be exclusive to each other with Blood Magic being more potent in the short run while Spirit Magic (which advances more slowly) has a higher cap. Furthermore, since evil Elgar'nan is too similar to Corypheus from _Inquisition_ (as well as less charismatic than the game tries to make him look), he should turn out to have reformed from his time imprisoned in the Fade (albeit with difficulty adjusting to the modern setting); for an added bonus, maybe Elgar'nan can say he spoke to Andraste in the Fade, implying he helped inspire her to famously say "Magic exists to serve mankind, not rule over him"; this can be a good nod to the first Inquisitor from _Descent._ He could also have prevented some Blights to the point the Evanuris controlling Urthemiel (Failguard says it was June but I stand by thinking it was Falon'din since he is implied to have used the Eluvians and it's in-character for him to trigger a Blight for followers) had to trick the Archetect. In order to keep the conflict from being too easy, one can still add in the Crimson Knight from _Absolution._ With both Ghilan'nain and the Crimson Knight as separate antagonists, the game can feel original with its four-way battle.

6:00 If Nintendo goes the same way maybe won't be so far-fetched they add DA: Veilguard characters on Smash just like Pokemon GO androgynous characters.

Your videos rock brother. U put a lot of thought and insight into the messages u convey. I really appreciate knowing there are more people that r mature, intelligent, & based out there and even more so that ur an “influencer”. What got Is into this mess in the first place is there was not enough voices taking a stand against the latest modern commie wave (Progressivism, DEI, CRT, Trans activism, etc). As cliche as it sounds, u r indeed a culture warrior. Merry Christmas brother. Hope you feel better and are back to full health asap 🫶

lets be honest here if there was a normal person in charge of the game people would be shitting on them so badly by now that whomever it would be would have stepped down, would be fired from the industry, and never work in the industry again.

I've seen and ignored your videos for a while now, maybe it was your thumbnail, maybe it was your title, but this time I actually watched it, well done. I enjoyed the tone of your discourse, your arguments, and through your words I too "Felt seen", my identity as a normal human being was "Justified" and reinforced, and I really felt "included". Cheers my guy. Lets not forget, when the fools say 'inclusion' they mean excluding people like me and you, when they say safe they mean that their bizarre ideas are not going to be challenged by logic or long established norms of culture and common sense. I used to like the sims, even with their predatory dlc, the emergent gameplay was still entertaining, I didn't play the last one because of the inclusion of mutilation scars, that kind of thing is disgusting to me, as it is disrespectful to women who have suffered breast cancer, to make it a feature of character design is horrible, and lost them money from discerning purchasers like myself.

The people who says the 'Woke Virus' doesn't affect the games, hasn't seen enough examples properly. There are some games that has them but aren't directed to them or let it shape the world they're making... That's the issue that they're not seeing. A game like Baldur's Gate 3 has them but it doesn't let the world be affected. It's just there. We can choose to do what we want with it. However, for the examples of Veilguard, they removed Blood Magic, because they think it was "ethical" or whatever. Their ideologies affected the world they're trying to create and that was the problem. Why can't we have Blood Magic? They deemed it gross and unethical despite it being just a game that we should be able to choose what we want. Now we can't even play who we want thanks to that. They choose who we want to be. That's the problem with Ideology driven games rather than a game that has small elements of ideology. At least for me. I rather not have them at all but I personally would probably want Lesbians but not Gays. That's because I'm straight. The two things I like are together, makes it better. That's just how it is.

I must remind you that Sims 4 is hated and despised. long term sims fans think that sims 4 is aimless and self indulgend - the humor, the disaster and the comedy is gone. so is the challenge. let me asure you, the sims 4 was a giant flop for the franchise. it was release 5 years after sims 3 in 2014. if sims 4 as a success we would have seen sims 5 in 2019.
