You have a gap between the frame and the right side plate. Take the side plate off, flip it over, the is a lever where the thumb bar tab hits, push it down to disengage the reel, and now put the right side plate back on to the frame. There should be no gap. Turn the reel handle to re-engage the reel.

John, great catch and you are correct. I didn’t realize it until the video was done, but that is exactly the steps I took to close the gap and properly close the reel back up. Thank you for watching and commenting.
