Good review. Thanks. The Shimano Calcutta's are the most 'fun to fish with' reels ever made, in my opinion. Pinpoint one-handed casting in the 50m range. And they last and last. My 200B is now 20 years old and still okay, after hundreds of fresh and saltwater fish caught. I will treat myself to this new one for sure...Super finesse reel. Wonderful stuff.

I love the 400b. My grandpa has 2 on his boat when we go anywhere really and it’s a powerhouse reel on the right rod.

I'm personally not in the market for another fishing reel, but if I saw one of those things in a tackle shop, and got my hands on it, it would be a tough purchase to resist. That thing is absolutely beautiful, and I have no doubt the quality is straight up legit. Just looks fun to fish with.
