Fishing Glidebaits with Shimano Calcutta Conquest 201 Baitcasting Reel. I paired this reel on the Dobyns Champion XP DC 794 SB. I spooled up with Varivas Absolute BBM Nylon 25lbs Mono and I am slinging mainly the Spro Chad Shad 180, but I did start out with the Armajoint!

Good video jimbo... I love round bc... also this is like a head to head comparison between bfs lures and medium-light sized lures... yeah bigger lure catch bigger fish mostly...But bfs too sometimes can produce a quality fish... Both methods rock!

Thx, while both methods rocks...small lures have to go through ton of catches before u find a good one. All about objectives when u go out to fish! Prioritize the lures you need to throw to achieve them! 👍

@@r0nald2k27 nice! Are u getting a JDM model for higher speeds and lower price? My glide bait rod is MH, but it's glide bait specific. Not a normal bass MH rod. Details to the rod via link in the video description. But I also just gotten the Ark invoker glidebait rod during the holiday sale! That rod is a heavy compared to the dobyns champion xp

Yes I’m getting the jdm version 201 and I think imma go with the Dobyns champion extreme 7,4 mh fast action I think it will pair perfect with this reel for the harbor and lake what do you think

How did you setup your breaks on this one for the side plate?

This is a centrifugal braking reel! The spool itself got 4 pins and I have it all turned on. The outer plate dial is the SVS infinity braking system. It simply moves a cone shape braking plate closer to the spool or further away, controlling or finetuning the brakes. I would make the analogy of the outer dial to thumbing. Basically auto thumb amount of pressure for the initial cast. once it slows down enough, it will free spool with only the tension you set! sounds complicated, but it actually makes centrifugal braking easier to use as it's going to become more consistent!

no idea since i don't own that reel. But I wanna get a faster version of this reel. It's amazing, just slow. I guess I will have to look at the JDM models since they offer this reel at higher speeds and cheaper than the USDM version!
