Shimano FX4000 reel maintenance | Oiling and greasing spinning reel

I found this reel with rod on the beach one night. It was covered in seaweed. And sand. I have done exactly what you have done, but the side cover will not ome off. Can only remove it to about 4mm.then it jams on something. Reel might be seized from being in the water too long.

Nice video. I watched to see if you can remove the side panel without removing the main spool nut and spindle. Apparently you can't.

Actually no..After this I haven't done any maintenance till now.Still the reel is so smooth and better .

പഴയ ഗ്രീസ് ഒന്നും തുടച്ചു കളയാതെ ആണോ പുതിയ ഗ്രീസ് ഇടുന്നത്... നീ ഇപ്പൊ ചെയ്തത് കാരണം റീൽ കുറച്ചു കൂടി ടൈറ്റ് ആവും 😭😭😭

With due respect, you use ENTIRELY too much grease to service that reel. I could service it 20 times with the amount you used!

Thanks for your suggestion 😀.But after the service my reel was never felt stuck again and its properly smooth for all time.
