I wounder when some people buy an iphone x for similar price of stella but yet can't c the reasons behind the high end reels . Quality has got its own sensation n i have 6000 hg one among alot reels of defferent ranges including penn torque but stella is some reel made to be appreciated.

Can't compare a Stella to a Spinfisher or a Battle. The Stella is a specialty reel.

This reel was designed for a specific purpose and that is to consistently catch really big fish with a spinning reel. There is not an Okuma reel that can do the same thing. The Stella is for offshore fishing what the Van Staal is for surf fishing. You can say that it is overpriced, but comparing it to a $30 reel from Cabelas is just silly.

You are not buying a Stella because it will last a long time. You are buying one because it allows you to achieve a goal that other reels do not and because it gives you a better fishing experience.

Unfortunately we do not carry aftermarket parts. Only ones directly from Shimano. Sorry about that. We are expecting several of the 20000s when they are released in June.

personally, I love the baitrunner for the type of fishing I do, and i'm sure it will handle a big tuna, its handled 80 lb flathead catfish

Not consistently they can not. Guys are not tournament fishing with penn battles. It's a different level of quality. An iphone is far superior to a flip phone, but you can make calls on both of them all day long.

If you want to compare it to cars, then compare it to the towing power of a hyundai to the towing power of a ford F350. Those reels you mentioned will not hold up over time as compared to the stella.

The 18000 is physically larger. It shares a body with the 20000. Weighs 6 ozs more than the 14000.

Just get the penn fisher just ass good 40 drag 580 yards 80 pound braid and it can fall in the salt water and still be perfectly fine

AmberGray PLays Depends how much braid you are going to use. If you are going to completely fill it, then just one layer of mono is needed.

Abdullah Al-Azmi if u can hold 20lb of drag u can go down to 10000 easily which holds alot of line allready ! My 6000 one here in oman could handle upto 40 kg . but when it's going extreme ie 60 kg n above u better eqiuped with 14000 n above just for the line capacity sake .

jandhtackle your videos are so helpful I wish you would do more I know a lot of people who have bought Penn reels for the first time The Slammer threes if the conflict and they have them messed up on the wrong rod a lot of the rods are the prevail Squadron and Battalion rods A friend of mine has been fishing a 5000 on a 11 foot rod it looked kind of odd but it works well

Those reels do not do what a Stella can do on a consistent basis. Stellas are for the guys who are fishing all the time for big fish.

Ball bearings make a reel smoother, but that is not the sum of this reel. Why can't you accept the fact that in order to consistently reel in big fish, you need a reel that costs more than $30? Specialty reels exist for a reason.

Who gives a shit if it is priced so high. There is a need for a reel of this stature a Penn spinnfisher v will never hold a prolonged battle with a 500lb tuna because of the alloy gears.but a Stella could fail just as easy but not likely. It is said in the vid that that it is for heavy tuna fishing.there are two reels that are proven that guys use for bluefin tuna and yellowfin are the Stella and the fin nor ofs 95. Check out tuna365.com and you see that most people all walks of life use Stella
