Hi. Great video with all information. I do have a few questions though... 1. Did you see drag # increase? I think OEM is 20#?? 2. Did you grease all the washers in the drag system? Or just the carbon? Will marine grease do? I dont have the one mentioned. 3. How has Performance increased?

1. did not to a scientific test on it but I am pretty sure the drag pressure is more now. 2. all the washers were very lightly coated with drag specific grease, not just any grease. 3. it's way way better now than before, smoother and more drag pressure, also smoother retrieve even when under pressure. landed very good sized fish for this reel including a 15kg king mackerel from shore easily.

What are the benefits of the worm gear bearing vs a bushing? I would assume the spool bearing upgrade would be a more stable spool under load correct?

Patrick Knight the spool bearing yes its when under heavy load/pressure. for the worm gear bushing to bearing will help in a more stable smoother rotation of the gear to keep a very good contact between the gears. even just a little wobble or mis alingment will mess up the gear after some time of heavy usage.

Hi Chris. Is a torx T2 needed? Or will a torx T3 to remove the set screw. Appreciate if you can help. My Stradic 4000 squeaks and I recon its time for a regular maintenance

Syed Mehdi I think its the T2 but its better to have one set up to T8.

Raimy Abdul the oil that comes with most shimano reels is what i use most for bearing, but i think the new reels don't come with it anymore. the other is the hedgehog studios light oil.
