I love shimano stradic, I use a 2500 size and a gloomis 842s rod. that combo is all you will ever need for inshore fishing. I have landed 40" snooks with it

hi I just got my 4000 today and was a bit surprised that I just screw the handle in from one wide and the other side is just a cap. usually I put it in on one side and screw in with the cap from the other side. is this correct?

Only the cheaper reels have the bolt that runs though the entire body aka hex screw. You dont want that.

screw in handle is better...all the expensive reel...used this....only the cheap reel use other side screw...sir

i think...3000/4000 had a same body....but 4000 had a different size spool...

+lamadrid I personally prefer the stradic 4000 fk. I had some of the early 4000 ci4+ reels, and didn't like them.

I realize this is an old video but wanted to comment.lol This is when I stopped being a Shimano fan. No anti reverse is nothing more than shimano cutting cost. Also the drag washers are felt material 😂 This reels performance was poor in my experience,nothing like the old Stratic reels of yrs past. The bail broke in just the first season and was a nightmare to repair,many plastic parts a real disappointment.

Put the word Stradic on the Sahara and people would still buy them, I went with the new Ultegra this year instead. I have Stradics they're not worth the $ Just because they have a trusted name.
