Appriciate your work but you don't think the grease on the back of the main gear will spread itself yes?

@@piesaturn6282 thanks for watching! Likely would, but I prefer to be safe rather than sorry. Reels typically are under greased and under oiled when coming from the factory so I prefer to do a little more than how it came from the factory.

No need to put grease on the back of the main gear, doesnt help with anything and just increases the start up inertia.

@@kyus1974 It helps. It creates a coating to protect it from contamination, in the video he put a lot but didnt spread it so its pointless
