I had two of these. The reels stripped out catching specked sea trout. One M power and one MH power. That, coupled with the lack of sensitivity meant i replaced them with different combos. Your review pretty much mirrors mine. For a fast action rod, they fish more like a moderate action.

Received a 7' medium, fast, 2500HG the other day. I haven't had a chance to really take it out aside from some test casts with a crappie magnet on a 1/64oz jig, but good to know about the bail and reel construction issues. If/when mine craps out, I may just slap my Lew's MHS200 on it and spool up the same 10lb powerpro. Thanks for the review.

Absolutely. It might be a few days with all the snow around but next time I get out I’ll film a video doing that. I’ll try to get a video of it up in 6 or 7 days.
