Shimano Ultegra R8000 Caliper Brakes Specs and Weight

Hey James got set of this about a month ago great stopping power upgraded from claris R2000 calipers. Glad I got these works great with Swiss stop bxp pads.

Hello, I hope someone can help me with my question. The adjusting bolt at the top of the caliper has a black plastic tab behind it (I hope that makes sense) what's it for and what happens if you don't have it? Will the bolt not hold in place? I hope my question makes sense. Thank you in advance!

Hi I guess you are referring to the barrel adjuster. If you have 105 it has a longer plastic black adjuster different to this ultegra one.

@@Vinch22 thank you for your help. I found it some time ago and I have made the proper adjustment I had received the brakes for free and lost the part I was looking for but I found it. Appreciate the help!

I’ve been looking at these, I want to run them on bull horn bar end levers however, do I need certain levers

Is there a noticeable difference between the R8000 Ultegra v’s 105 R7000 rim brakes….?

Performance wise no. Finish/Color/Weight, then yes.

@@Jamesthebikeguy thanks, was undecided whether to spend the extra on the r8000 but will opt for r7000 now, 20g or so heavier for the pair I can live with :)
