Shimming - take Two. I had to reduce the shim from .009" to .006" but got excellent results. Enjoy!

Interesting. I have a KO Lee, that has L-R runout of ~.005". I am going to larger balls, and will have to shim as well..

Larger balls will probably get you out of the original wear grooves. Spoiler alert, i reshimmed with .006" shim and now have front to back travel within .001" over 6".

The dowel on the rack is to prevent the bolts from working looks

True, takes all potential shear load off bolts. Mine are tight enough so that isn't a problem however.

I ran a #2 just like yours and a few newer ones too. Yours is older one

The old school one was what was available to me. Wish the boot wasn't torn, replacements are more than I paid for the grinder!

Just out of curoisity will that rack under the table allow it to be flipped around? Just thinking if its mounting bolts aren't summetrical it would allow the travel between limits to be correct?

Sorry should of waited to see the video more before commenting

The bolt pattern is symmetrical end for end, except for the dowel hole. Flipping it wouldn't change the engagement with the drive pinions. Thanks for watching!
