📜The Shin Gunto Type 95 is not a real Katana: it is an industrially manufactured sword made by Japan during World War II.
But why did Japan make a kind of katana in the 1930s?
Well, in this video I propose to answer this question and to talk about the history of the Type 95 Saber (1935), used by Japanese NCOs.
We will also briefly discuss the famous banzai charges carried out by Japanese troops during the Pacific War, and the most terrible one, the one that took place on the island of Saipan in 1944.
