📜History of the springfield 1903 rifle in its sniper version:
WW1 - M1903 equipped with a Warner & Swasey M1913. This is the first assembly on the 1903 rifle. Used during the First World War, this scope does not only have advantages. The USMC will prefer the Winchester A5.
WW2 - M1903A1 equipped with an Unertl x8, version used by the Marines during the War of the Pacific. The US Army will leave on the 1903A4 with its Weaver 330C, which is a real sniper rifle, but without the scope, the rifle is unusable because it does not have conventional sights.
