The 1971 version also had hair sticking out from the back of the helmet, so Kamen Rider the First and this one is basically continuing the tradition, lol. Unlike other Riders, KR 1-2 (plus V3 and Riderman) basically just dudes in biker getup.

i was kinda sad that this is not the continuation of the first and the next =( but still i was happy again after watching this, KAMEN RIDER FOREVER!!!!!!!! this is shin kamen rider and its part of the shin tokusatsu movies like shin godzilla and the upcomming shin ultraman

Unfortunately, there will be no continuation. Me, as one who watched the classics since 1971s, i do wished they create remake version of Kamen Rider Riderman too, as he is the 2nd Kamen Rider who also appeared in Kamen Rider V3 (1973) series.

The original Kamen Rider 1971 version (ichi-go, ni-go) both also shows hair. Shin Kamen Rider design (including hair sticking out) is to be faithful to the original design. Kamen Rider THE FIRST (2005) and THE NEXT (2007) version they were also shows hair. Also, Kamen Rider classic concept were humans who has been modificated into cyborg human, wearing bug mask helmet (Kamen = Mask), and a motor rider. Kamen Rider Ichi-go and Ni-go (1971), Kamen Rider V3 and Riderman (1973) shows showed them wearing helmet in the classic transformation. P.S : リアクションありがとうございます

Idk if you already know this, but this movie is written and directed by Hideaki Anno (aka the guy who made Evangelion). He also made a Shin Godzilla movie, and he's making a Shin Ultraman movie as well.

Metal Heroes - and especially Metalder - are literally my favorite. It's no contest: Metal Heroes is head and shoulders above every other Toku.
