race never entered into the equation. Shin Lim was the best hands down ever card magician to ever grace that AGT stage. And the key to everything is that American public just likes to be entertained and constantly surprised. Shin Lim did things with those cards that NO ONE out there today could do as well or figure out how he did them either. Add to that the fact that he could have had a career as a brilliant concert pianist and then found a second career he loved when that door closed to him. He looks like the kid next door and yet he is absolutely brilliant. In fact what made all the acts so special is that most of them found ways to turn adversity or negatives into positives and found ways around them to get to where they were. Americans just love feel good success stories like these. Shin Lim deserved that win, hands down.

Glennis was amazing, and Courntey has a huge fan base. I think many voters just wanted a non singer to win AGT for a change, and they said the voting was very very close...record close. Anyone finishing in the top ten is really really good...and all the acts were REALLY good on finals night. You may not like Courtney, but try saying she's not your cup of tea instead of saying all she does is scream...that's obviously not true. Simon's record label just signed her...and the guy is a tough critique. She will do very well. Aerosmith does some screaming, Joplin did, and many other groups and they were highly successful.

i am a reporter i once receive my interviewee's picture for us to publish. i have met my interviewee's wife before and the picture was he and "his wife" in the picture, quite obviously. i still asked him "was that your wife and you"? well that might sound stupid, yes? but actually that woman is his sister-in-law, they are very look alike, and the picture was some 20 yrs ago. so there is no such thing of stupid question. until you asked and get the correct answer. the rule of journalism. I'm the reporter and I interviewed Shin Lim almost every week. It wasn't a dumb question because his fiance JUST moved to the US so no one knows her specific plans... which is why I asked. You also have to ask some generic questions for people that may have never seen an interview with him before. Never once did I judge his win, because he knew that he was my top choice almost every week. No offense, I'm the one that got to know him every week, so I would know more then you.

I have seen so many cards tricks in my life and for free. I actually learned a couple. I takes talent to develop it, but quite frankly I won't pay to see anyone doing magic or card tricks.. Like I said I have seen so many of that in the streets for free...
