Would make sense, but thematically it doesn’t fit as well. In CoC it was the splintered groups of Bethel essentially unilaterally agreeing that maintaining the balance was not it anymore and an arms race had begun. Seeing as a Nahobino in their own group came to be, they scrambled to follow-up on that opportunity quickly. In CoV, the focus has turned from primarily fighting against each other to trying to essentially save themselves from ruin whilst still wanting their own will to be enacted due to the rise of Tiamat and primordial Chaos marching towards the core of their universe.

@@kannyboy1847 You forget Mastema and his own insecurities are why he had a change. Remember that Dazai wanted to have some purpose and saught approval from a higher power. After Mastema gave him a new revelation, Dazai went off to kill the demon king with Abdiel. Emboldened by Abdiels orders and not needing a Nahobino to kill the Armies of Chaos, Dazai became a Zealot who wanted to perpetuate Gods order and do what Abdiel wanted. Kill the Nahobino.

He is overleveled. These fights are challe ging if Abdiel uses impalers animus and you don't have a Suknda and Rakumda set up.

I'm surprised after Mastema's blessing Ichiro didn't become Meta instead of Human; he's got all these magical powers without being a Nahobino. Mastema blessed him to become equal to one. Also; Mastema kinda caused this mess himself. This is the result of him blessing Dazai but he wants you to remake the world...

After this fight, Tsukuyomi has dialogue in demon haunt where he deduces Mastema wanted Dazai and Abdiel to take the throne as a Nahobino if the protagonist fails or turns against him. No matter who dies between them, so long as one Nahobino remains he wins It's also probably why he didn't tell either of them about you still "working" with him and let you fight. What better way to provoke someone into becoming a Nahobino than by having them get clapped by one first hand?
