Shin Megami Tensei IV: Boss Battle (Extended)

Shin Megami Tensei IV is one of my favorite RPG games and I am absolutely in love with the soundtrack. I personally love this boss battle theme. It's so epic! In my brother's words, "It's like Metallica and Dragonforce combined with a hint of Megadeath in it." If you guys haven't played the game before, I suggest you should if you have a 3DS. It's quite a good game. Pretty tough, but enjoyable!

In a game like SMT, you'd think any help you can get in-game would be extremely valuable... But somehow Walter and Jonathan manage to prove that wrong.

Having the wrong team is just as detrimental due to the press turn system being extremely punishing if your weakness are hit with boss turns DOUBLING in the worst case scenario. Imagine Minotaur or Medusa getting six actions. That's brutal for that early on and you are gonna die if you allow that.

I finally played a SMT and it was V. outside of some of the story and ending, I LOVED It.. then I realized I wanna play more of these. looks like 3 might be the only easy one to get to... isn't this game still trapped on the 3DS?

Yeah, the sad thing about IV/Apocalypse and few more they still trapped within 3DS. But honestly, emulating them is probably the best option if buying an old console just for them is ridiculous idea to you. You don't even need beefy PC/laptop, and Citra has gone a long, long way from its inception. Even a mid ranger phone (mine is Snapdragon 660) can do well enough to enjoy any SMT games on 3DS, that my route playing these game now days.

But it was just a minor graphical error that didn't really affect gameplay, and considering how easy it was to emulate the game compared to search, negotiate, buy and waiting for the shipment of the console, its still a massive win. Not to mention the upscale resolution and HD texture replacement capabilities Citra has to offer. Its practically DIY "Remaster" with quality nothing to scoff at.
