It's still overwhelming when you do know what to do. The first time I attempted it I assumed he'd be level 99, and had all my Demons and Nahobino at 92. He summons some demons, immediately uses Riot Javalin and murders half of the team. 8 levels later has not made a lick of a difference, if he gets bored of the fight sometimes he'll just nuke my party with a physical move that will always kill. This isn't my first SMT either Demi just doesn't like me. After all the things we had been through, he was just gonna do me like that. I just did the True Demon Ending of SMT III last week, idk why he's so pressed.

He’s actually not that hard once u figure out his AI. Turn 1 he will always spam Javelin Rain so u need at least one party member that drains/repels Phys and end his turn. Afterwards u must constantly switch out to a demon that resists or repels Phys as most of the time he will use Deadly Fury on the demon u switched in. And no if Deadly Fury hits a resist it’s will not crit despite it saying that it will always crit. Sometimes he may use Freikugel instead which sucks but u should try to run demons that can at least drain/repel the attacks of his demons to end their turn asap. U also must kill at least one of his demons within 5 turns otherwise it’s lights out for u and he casts Gaea Rage. Always kill the healers (Pixie and Parvati) since they heal a large chunk of his HP. Just do this while slowly chipping away at his HP, keep buffs and debuffs. The usual SMT stuff. U can also cheese the fight by using the Magatsuhi Skill called Accursed Poison which has a super high chance (maybe even 100%?) to seal Demi fiend from using any skills for awhile including the scripted Chaotic Will (abyssal mask is a must have to not have ur demons be instakilled by it.) Plus debilitate is always nice. Same can be done using sleep skills. Definitely hard the first time, but once u figure it out, luck is no longer a huge deciding factor. DDS Demi-Fiend is way way harder than this.

@@SirSuffers It's more a result of your main being way more powerful than in any previous megaten than a result of demifiend beinh weak. I've seen a two turn kill on demifiend by using endure + adversity then donum gladi+ impaler animus on Nahobino then when he is on 1hp switching all demons out and letting him annihilate demifiend by himself.

@@khiemnguyen7929 He uses Gaea Rage when you use Mirror items and Tetrakarn. He also uses it if 5 turns pass without you killing any of his demons. Granted, he does not have Pierce, but the Gaea Rage ignores all affinities and has base damage of over 999.

I kinda just gave up on this boss for now. He gets like 5-6 turns if he has a full party. He constantly summons allies and at least one of them wipes out all your buffs in a single turn. If you don’t kill one of them in a certain number of turns, he’ll wipe out most of your party with an unblockable attack. Others of his inflict status conditions that you have to spend action slots trying to reverse. He fully heals himself at about half HP. Most of my party is at level 99 but not all of my party and I don’t feel like investing the time to get everyone to 99. I’ve kinda gotten all I wanted out of this game. If I can think of a better strategy, I’ll come back and try again some other time.

I'm not sure if you found out about the repel physical strategy, but if you put null, repel or drain phys on some of your demons, switch them in and he immediately attacks them with deadly fury, draining his press turn icons. You'll also want demons with the severe killing spells, such as magibarion, maziobarion, mazanbarion etc. Abyssal mask or enduring soul is good to have on your team too, but one way to completely disable demi fiend, is accursed poison, it stops him and his team in their tracks.

You have to note that in original nocturne if you keep that Pixie and its evolutions in your lineup, it eventually evolves back into Pixie but with super stats. So while its still That One Pixie (and a flex yes), she isn't weak

If you take what the game allows into consideration Nahobino is potentially way stronger then demi fiend. I have almost 500 vitality and barely taking any damage with my Nahobino. Freikugel critical hit from demi fiend? 8 damage 😂 on hard even! If you take the time to grind out your stats the Nahobino can be so jacked.

If demi-fiend had a brain and decided to spam Freikugel instead of Akashik Arts on resist physical he would be litteraly unbeatable. Which he does if you have a full team with null physical or have a full null character use taunt. Basically, you have to be weaker than you could or he just says "nope". Let alone Chaotic Will that can OTK you even if you have both masks passives. Awfully flawed design especially compared to Shiva's battle when you dig it to be honest. I'm glad you managed to beat him tho. GG !
