The original version was sadly the same resolution as the cutscenes from the game, so I decided to upscale it, in order to bring this to modern screens. Actual CGI scenes upscaled beautifully, while the in-game cutscenes responded slightly worse to upscaling, due to the massive blur filter present in them.
Rendering time took an incredible amount of hours, as well as writing the subtitles by hand and aligning them to the proper timestamps... So if you enjoyed this, I'd massively appreciate your support. Enjoy! :D

wow thanks for this video man, brings back so many good memories, Onimusha was THE BEST samurai game ever, now the next comparable one is Nioh but nothing compares to Onimusha as it is a true RPG classic. What software did you use to a.i. upscale ? Do you recommend the one you're using or is there something better?

did the onimusha 4 mod fix the busted ai? I know I went back to play it on emulator and most of the bosses were unresponsive

The PCSX2 team released an update a couple of months ago, for the Nightly Builds, which fixed AI & Sound related issues :D
