Great information! I’m currently going through a MEB from the impacts of my shin splints and the development of chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS). These two share similarities but are very different. If you are able to, I’d recommend getting the compartment pressure testing done!

I think 40% of Ft. Bragg went on sick call for shin splints sooner or later when I was there. We might as well call it "Airborne shins." It's rough, I know it was when I had them.
