OK! i will tell u now that they do not get together in the drama...very sadly..=.= but! I loved these two anyway!! =D they are so cute! i hear that in the manga he falls for her in a way that u can tell...er something like that..=)
I love this drama!! this is my favoret so far!!! XD I just love the emotion in the show, and the conections that go on and stuff =) I have seen all 3 seasons and the movie! the movie was awesome btw! XD but just, this is a great show! so fun to watch and very cute =)

ShinKumi hits different. I'm still hoping they will release a movie or a series that ShinKumi will end up together like what happened in the manga. Jun Matsumoto and Yukie Nakama seems civil to each other, last 2020 they played cards on VS Arashi and even tell their first impressions to each other.

seriously, .. Yankumi and Shin should have ended up together... i liked Odagiri as well ,but he was the second batch(just saying coz it was part 2).... age difference was more after watching the scene where shin says "sorry, but make that the 4 of us"..... all my hopes went sky high... pity the series didn't mention Shin in any other season or the movie... i am a Matsumoto Jun fan.. love his puffed cheeks...( plus Oguri Shun - but his role was of a silly guy)....

They dated briefly, but their breakup was hard. Matsumoto Jun turned down the role of Shin in season two and in the movie, which is a shame, because maybe the drama would have ended like the manga if the two of them had been mature enough to work together.

@ZMicMacZ well the drama was made in 2002 and by that time they only knew that Shin liked Yankumi, but the manga ended in 2007, and there were 2 special chapters in 2008 and 2009, where it's made official that they're a couple, so the drama makers couldn't know that they will end up together, but i really wish they could put them together in the movie.

in season 2, season 3 and in the movie... she didn't end up with one of her students or even to Shinohara-san (season1), forgot his name/teacher (season2), Natsumi-sensei/doctor (season3) but in the manga... there is a part when Shinohara-san is asking Yankumi if she wants to live with him or something like that (sorry I forgot) but she declines... then in the end... Shin confess and they are about to kiss when the new students of Yankumi suddenly shows up :)
