I have had the Shinemate EX620 Pro for about a week and have tore it down to have a look. Beautiful, elegant, smart, and durable! I cant believe how smooth and how good it sounds. Its a beast, yet the gearhead stays cool. It is a joy to run. Bigfoot slayer at half the cost. And you are absolutely correct! The Bigfoot stalls, every chance it gets. Id rather run my SPTA. At least it doesn't stall out. Great showcase my friend!!!

@@HawkProDetailing I do, but I haven’t sold it because it’s a good backup machine. I also taught myself how to get the best of it. Pads are the secret to the XCE. Pad choice. But for now the 15MM and the 21mm ( I got the 12mm as well, the 3”) really get it done for me. I’d tell you to the the 21mm. The 15MM is good. Works fine, but the 21mm for a cordless machine will more than satisfy your need for a cordless machine as well. I pulled the stock backing plate and threw on a Griots new vented plate and it’s even better. My choice for a pro like you. The 21mm hands down.

I added the washer mod to my LHR Mark III and it really helped with the stalling issues that are inherent to the Rupes DA machines. I am intrigued with the Shinemate but I’m an older guy and the smoothness of the Rupes is important to me when doing lots of paint corrections.

@@kenwithrow5157 fair warning to start slow and start with lighter polish and less aggressive pads first to get a feel for it. It definitely changes the machines behavior: how fast the pad and the cars paint heats up, how easily it glides over everything (sometimes it feels like you get slightly less feedback while using the washer mod). I find myself getting great results with just a 1 step polish using a yellow or white Rupes pad, without the washer it would normally take 2 steps to get the same results.

Shinemate has been making quality machines for years however, they're not as popular in the states. But, the EX620 line, has more power and torque than Rupes. Even though Rupes is the Cadillac of machines, Shinemate cutes so good plus all of the various options available. I love all of my Shinemate's I have. Especially my EX605 which is more powerful than the duetto. Great video!

Thanks man! Yeah I feel like they are going to make a push in the states because detailers are craving value...I do believe you get what you pay for, and this machine is so reasonably priced I was very pleasantly surprised. Like I said in video, there's no question rupes is popular for a reason. It's such a smooth well balanced machine. But ours break with time and wear, it's not like they are indestructible. And if they aren't damn near perfect I would rather not spend that money

Hello there. Curious as to what you didn’t like about the Flex XCE? I was looking to get the corded version. I know the gear driven tools have a tendency to “walk” on you but I think that would outweigh the typical DA’s tendency to stall. What is your take since you used both?
@HawkProDetailing
@HawkProDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
I didn't like the "walking" at all... couldn't figure out how to finish down well. I tried, and tried again. I asked around ... why do people even use the damn flex forced rotation? And someone told me it's cause renny Doyle is a matter salesman lol. The reality is, I spent enough time trying to master something that nobody I talked to said was even worth mastering. Who out there do you see with the flex or rupes mille? So if we agree that DA is going to give you your best finish, and you don't want stall... and you want to save a couple hundred bucks... and you want lots of torque...you might like shine mate lol.
