how did you get that crisp sound for the vocals in post?

A lot of that "crispness" comes from good tracking practices on the performance side and knowing what sounds to emphasize or tame (especially Hunter, as he's a pro vocal coach). On the post side, it mostly comes down to proper EQ. No magic here, this was a very bare bones vocal chain. I believe LA2A>Fabfilter Pro Q>Waves DeEsser, and 2 FX tracks with Vahalla Vintageverb and Waves H-delay, although it's been awhile. Might have be a low wetness Slate Fresh Air on the chain too.
