If there is ever a list of the greatest "live" performances ever this is right at the top. Every time I hear this song it takes me back to those years that a lot of damn good music was made. Nothing this good anymore in my opinion.

I really agree with you going back to early rush ... subdivisions had some high vocal range and pretty much every recorded live version geddy had a oh god i recorded this wtf do i do set of options ... Shinedown too.. in later versions ... yet this version .. this performance . they go for it all the way .. and hit it dead on... so im going to totally agree with you on this is an impossible to do studio recording done live take- yet done right...

Lip syncing and probably playing with a click track. Real musicians dont sound like completely garbage live and their drummers can keep time for the band like their suppose to. Tool are more real musicians that most bands these days. Danny Carey refuses to use a click track.

My eyes are open wide By the way I made it through the day I watch the world outside By the way I'm leaving out today I just saw Haley's comet, shooting She waved, said, "Why are you always running in place" Even the man in the moon disappeared Somewhere in the stratosphere Tell my mother, tell my father I have done the best I can To make them realize This is my life I hope they understand I'm not angry, I'm just saying Sometimes goodbye is a second chance Please don't cry one tear for me I'm not afraid of what I have to say This is my one and only voice So listen close it's only for today I just saw Haley's comet, she waved She waved, said, "Why are you always running in place" Even the man in the moon disappeared Somewhere in the stratosphere Tell my mother, tell my father I have done the best I can To make them realize This is my life I hope they understand I'm not angry, I'm just saying Sometimes goodbye is a second chance Here is my chance This is my chance Tell my mother, tell my father I have done the best I can To make them realize This is my life I hope they understand I'm not angry, I'm just saying Sometimes goodbye is a second chance Sometimes goodbye is a second chance Sometimes goodbye is a second chance

And with the way his mouth is moving absolutely perfectly with the lyrics, he would have to be a really, really, really freaking good lip snycer...
