One of the most powerful songs from the Attention Attention album, we're all the same at the end of the day, but it's easier to point out the highs and lows in someone else's life than to look at our own. In the Get Up video we first see a character who's reached rock bottom, we watch her fighting to get up and live again with compassion. special is a different, it's easy to pass judgement on others than it is to take stock of our lives and make them better. Be kind to yourself and others, we are here for a short time, don't waste it on meaningless nonsense.

This song and video literally had me bawling like a baby…..so much truth. No one is more special than another we were all created to be unique, beautiful and amazing in our own ways. I have always been compared to others my entire life and expectations have always been set higher for me. For many years I was lost trying to be whatever everyone wanted me to be and to please others. Social media has only hindered relationships it denies us the ability to truly see what’s all around us and really sincerely getting to know a person for who they really are. well said! quick story because, well i have to! haha .. i went to their concert here in NY.. took about 15 sec of footage from a few of my favorite songs (which coincidentally havent even gone back to watch, and it was 8 months ago) but otherwise was so engulfed in the awesomeness in a sea full of people that when they finished the last song, I looked around, I apparently caused a 15 foot radius around me of emptiness due to my loud singing ! hahah .. I literally didnt even know it .. prior the place was packed and we were sitting between what I can consider about 80 people that were close.. Anyway, best band, best concert ever!

Most people would call your statement crazy... and yet I would challenge almost anyone to sit down and listen to all 7 of their studios albums and debate the topic. Brent Smith is not only a stud song writer but top (3) vocalist of his generation. Variety? Many mainstream bands don't have the balls to mix it up and try something different, it's financial suicide and yet every album is a little different and I can almost listen to every damn song on the album...Planet Zero, my least favorite due to their creative approach and yet some of it still hit for me. The problem with these guys is that they showed up at the beginning of the end for Rock. My 1 local rock station barely plays anything past 2010... The only thing that tells me that rock isn't dead is that these guys are still churning out albums.
