Ah yes, the chaotic “If we were normal, we would not have lasted for 14 years” SHINee. Honestly if they weren’t as chaotic and entertaining as they are, I probably would never have gotten sucked into being their fan and wouldn’t have become a Shawol. I absolutely love their hilarious crazy side. The Monkey Magic song was a skit from SNL where a malicious director or producer (I forget which) was trying to put Onew and Jonghyun in the worst MV ever to sabotage them, but they still turned it into a success. 😂

SHINee were my first hard stan. I was a casual stan for Turbo and TVXQ5, but SHINee was my first experience with fandom culture and content other than music. I was lucky enough to meet them out and about in Chicago in 2016, and that changed my life. When Jonghyun left us, it really did a number on me.
